This unit works as both a timer and a wireless thermometer, simply put the probe into the meat and leave the small receiver on the counter. The receiver connects to the display unit so you can focus on other tasks while your meal cooks. The extra large display unit features an easy-to-read backlight, and allows you to set custom temperatures or to choose from presets for beef, lamb, veal, hamburger, pork, turkey, chicken and fish. When the probe hits the preset temperature or the timer is up, an alert will sound to let you know so you don't need to continuously check the screen. The 7.25" probe and 40" wire are designed to be oven-safe at high temperatures so you don't have to remove your meal to check the temperature like other thermometers, saving time and keeping the oven at a consistent temperature. The convenient wireless unit is small enough to fit in your pocket, can be clipped onto your belt with the included clip, or can be displayed on your counter with the kickstand. The wireless unit has a range of 200ft so you don't have to feel restricted to the kitchen while you wait for your meal.
