Eureka Brass Band - Music of New Orleans 2: Music of Eureka Brass Band - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2014 collection of classic tracks recorded by Country icon George Jones. Country music existed before and after George Jones, but there are very few artists who have left the kind of impact he did on the genre. This is a Inchfirst-time everInch album. For the first time ever, here are instrumental versions of George Jones' most famous hits. What's more, for the first time ever the group that backed up George in his original performances is doing these new versions. In the Jones Boys we have one of the outstanding Country Music groups. Their contributions to the success of George Jones' recordings have been considerable. They have also come in for glowing accolades in their many appearances with him in clubs, on television, and at fairs. George Jones is the number one Country Music artist in the world. He has been voted the leading Country Music performer in every major poll during the last three years. Yet, Jones is the first to give the Jones Boys much of the credit for the fact that over the last four years every week has seen at least one George Jones record on the best-selling Country Music Hit Parade charts. This is truly an unprecedented success story. Listen now to twelve reasons why some have said that, just like ol' man river, George Jones and the Jones Boys will probably keep rollin' along. The twelve reasons are, of course, the Jones Boys.

Fans of New Orleans R&B will have much to rejoice about here with this interesting compilation. All of the artists featured here are New Orleans all-stars such as Aaron Neville, Lee Dorsey, Ernie K-Doe, Huey Piano Smith, Robert Parker, Chris Kenner, the Showmen and Irma Thomas. There is one exception, that being Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs, whose mega-hit InchStayInch is featured here because it was released on a New Orleans tag and was a big hit in the Crescent City, as were all the other tracks included here. If you're looking for big early R&B hits, this is a great place to start. Volume 2 in the series. All selections newly remastered.
