Not good for someone with pet hair to deal with but great for that spot that you need to clean up. If you hate to pull that vacuum out for a bunch of crumbs this is the one for you. But don't try to replace your powerhouse vacuum with it.

This unit did not pick-up trash, very well on our medium-thickness carpet. First, it required an inordinate amount of "push-down" pressure to get the wheels to even turn the brush, and Second, even when it did turn the brush -- it did not pick-up small light-weight trash in a very consistent way. I returned the unit due to its inadequate design.

I hate vacuuming every week, and this tool helps me to keep my carpet and rugs clean until I feel like bringing out the vacuum. It leaves the same grooves as the vacuum, so it looks like I just did. Yet, I did it faster and easier.
