Eye of Purgatory - Darkborne - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Sireena Records continues the CD edition of the legendary SKY RECORDS catalog with the most successful album by Straight Shooter InchMy Time - Your TimeInch! Straight Shooter was primarily the band of singer Georg Buschmann, who was born on April 8th, 1948. He had been a member of the Düsseldorf band STREETMARK since 1971, but left the band after the of the debut album InchNordlandInch to found his new project Straight Shooter. He had in mind more Inchmelodic hard rockInch in the tradition of the British band Bad Company, and it is not for nothing that the new band name came from an album title by the British. Günter Körber, the head of the SKY RECORDS tag, liked the idea and signed a long-term contract with the band. All upcoming Straight Shooter albums should now be released on Sky Records. The debut InchGet StraightInch was released in 1978 and was recorded in the line-up of Buschmann, Günther Striepling (guitar), Hans Plankert (keyboards), Roland Haase (bass) and Peter Kegler (drums). A decent debut, which included a cover version of the Easybeats hit InchFriday On My MindInch, which was also released as a single and diligently rotated in the discotheques! However, Buschmann & Co. Shot the bird off with their second album InchMy Time - Your TimeInch in 1980. The title song of the same name, which lasts around 8 minutes, is still one of the most popular titles in rock discotheques and dance halls. A true classic that gave Straight Shooter a huge boost. For the CD , original keyboardists provided commentary on every song on the album. InchMy Time - YourInch became the band's most successful and best-selling album! Album Tracks 1. My Time - Your Time 2. Happy New Year 3. Why 4. Love in Mind 5. All Along the Watchtower 6. Disco Fever Everywhere 7. Now You're Shattered 8. Be with Me 9. Straight Fighting Man

2018 . Eye of Nix was formed in 2012 with the intent of conjuring music that is threatening, beautiful, and harsh. Founding vocalist & guitarist Joy Von Spain, guitarist Nicholas Martinez, and noise/sound collage artist Masaaki Masao were joined in 2017 by bassist Zach Wise and drummer Luke LaPlante. Recorded by renowned producer Billy Anderson (Bell Witch, Pallbearer) at The Hallowed Halls in Portland, Oregon and mastered by Brad Boatright (Gatecreeper, Necrot), their new LP Black Somnia centers on themes of fear, control, and anxiety while shape-shifting through a lens of blackened psychedelia and doom. Commented vocalist Joy Von Spain InchThe album is an exploration of the forces of fear and control, responses to these insidious, unseen powers, the specter that remains when we awaken from mysterious and frightening dreams. Billy Anderson worked with us on ideas to preserve the noisier elements of our sound and the layers of atmosphere.Inch The visual elements for Black Somnia were created in collaboration with occult photographer and artist Carlos Melgoza (Anima Nocturna) and an international group of Butoh performers (Alan Sutherland, Vanessa Skantze, Marina Sossi) with Susan DuMett (Vox Vespertinus). Black Somnia's first print run was issued in the US as a vinyl-only edition pressing limited to 250. Through the prominence of Black Somnia's original pressing, the result is an official worldwide through Prophecy (first time on CD & a new version of the LP). The majestic elements of the album seamlessly accent each other, creating a memorable mesmerizing audio experience that will hypnotize the listeners senses. Admirers of Pharmakon, Satyricon and early Soundgarden will find Black Somnia to be a uniquely intriguing musical masterpiece. The band has accomplished to create an album that defies all genre standards within modern day dark music. Eye of Nix InchBlack
