Blodsdåd och hor (Bloodshed and whoredom) is the third installment in the Jordfäst saga and the darkest chapter thus far. Bellowed by the winds from the past, it is forged with steel and blood in a furnace built by Scandinavian rock. The lyrical themes and musical compositions bond together, forming a strong and durable alloy. Under the unyielding strokes of hammers, the characteristic Jordfäst soundscape has been hardened, and the melodies have been thoroughly honed by melancholia to deep-cutting perfection. InchEtt altare av skärvorInch (An altar of shards) combines fragments from Völuspá with imagery of violent manipulation and mental torture to explore the everlasting desire in humans to make sense of their existence. InchDit gudarna trälar ärInch (Where the gods are thralls) journeys through centuries of Swedish history, shaped by steel and iron industry and defined by relentless warfare. The successful recording process of Av stoft was repeated during the creation of Blodsdåd och hor, and previous session drummer Jocke Unger has now joined the band permanently. Vocals and all instruments except drums were recorded in Studio Wheelmust by Elis, and drums were recorded by the ingenious Ulf Blomberg at Hoborec. The task of mixing and mastering was again entrusted to the masterful hands of William Blackmon of The Overlook. Album Tracks 1. Ett Altare Av Skärvor PT 1 2. Ett Altare Av Skärvor PT 2 3. Montréal's Phobocosm continue their career-spanning collaboration with Dark Descent Records with third full-length Foreordained. Foreordained is an amalgamation of everything that came before it. A perfectly balanced fusion of the murky death metal depravity of debut Deprived, blended with the devastating doom of Bringer Of Drought. Remarkably, this was the plan all along InchWhen we wrote Deprived, we decided that our first three albums would be a trilogy, so Foreordained is the last chapter of that trilogy. We made a conscious effort to pace all three albums in a similar manner, since we wanted them to be linked-starting with a slow, crushing doom song and concluding with a long, epic, depressive one. It's not a coincidence,Inch reveals guitarist Samuel Dufour. As their genre of choice would suggest, Foreordained's lyrical concepts are about death, as well as the futility of denying one's inherent mortality. Hence the name of the album; meaning predestined, inevitable InchSince death is unavoidable, the end of all life and of our planet is also unavoidable, so there are apocalyptic themes also. The closer 'For an Aeon' is about a possible way the world as we know it could end.Inch Wrapped in artwork by the inimitable Lauri Laaksonen of Desolate Shrine, Convocation and Pestilent Hex fame, Foreordained is set to be a 2024 death metal highlight. Album Tracks 1. 1. Premonition 2. 2. Primal Dread 3. 3. Everlasting Void 4. 4. Infomorph 5. 5. Revival 6. 6. for An Aeon
