Fat Freddys Drop - Slo Mo - VINYL LP

Schurmann - Chamber Music Vol 2 [COMPACT DISCS] date 04/29/2014

As pianist, conductor and composer, Jean Louis Nicode (1853-1919) was one of the most highly respected musicians of his day. Born in Posen in Prussia (Poznan in presentday Poland), he became a stalwart of musical life in Dresden in the closing years of the nineteenth century. Today his name is as good as unknown, with his music suffering the same fate as his reputation as a performer - although he was a highly accomplished composer. Fat Freddy's Drop hit the ground running with new studio album SLO MO, a bass-heavy blast of redemption and resolution. Described by Fitchie as 'afro rhythmic soul music, an exploration of Black music from Polynesia, this heady mix creates the undefinable Freddy's sound. Renowned worldwide for euphoric live shows, the Aotearoa band stepped inside their BAYS studio in Wellington, sunup to sundown, to craft a sixth studio album
