About this product
Unlike most of his fellow first generation rock and roll pioneers, Fats Domino remained incredibly consistent in concert over the decades. His cooking combo was often populated by many of the same legendary musicians that played up a storm on the New Orleans legends 1950s smashes as he served up a non-stop menu of million-sellers night after night onstage, much to the delight of his legion of loyal fans. The Fat Man always looked and sounded as though he was loving every minute of it. With the October 24, 2017 passing of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Star at age 89, there won't be any more joyous live performances from Domino, who retired from touring during the late 90s to spend all his time in his beloved hometown of New Orleans and had been musically inactive for the last few years. This mammoth three-CD collection, compiled from a wealth of in-concert performances, can serve as the next best thing, reminding us anew why the Fat Man was an altogether unforgettable figure in the history of both rhythm and blues and rock and roll.

2 CD Set. A collection of Greatest Hits, B-Sides and Previously Unreleased Tracks. The Only K-Doe Collection Available. Produced by Allen Toussaint with backing by The Meters. You can't think of Ernie K-Doe without thinking of InchMother-In-Law,Inch his 1961 chart-topper and the only pop hit on his resumé. As this disc proves so well, K-Doe recorded many great sides. Those unfamiliar with K-Doe's career will undoubtedly get knocked out by InchA Certain GirlInch and Inch'Tain't It the Truth,Inch two classics of New Orleans R&B. Toussaint's soulful, infectious arrangements wonderfully complement K-Doe's eccentric vocals, guiding the singer through the twisted narrative of Southern soul from the mud-baked Memphis sound of Stax (InchWho Ever's Thrilling You Is Killing MeInch) to the Crescent City funk of the Meters (InchLawdy MamaInch) and beyond. What K-Doe lacks as a traditional vocalist he more than compensates for as a pure entertainer, and it's impossible to imagine cuts like the S*x-crazed InchHere Come the GirlsInch achieving such libidinous transcendence in the hands of a more conventional performer.Disc 1Stoop Down Baby (Long Version)You Got To Love MeDo You Want SomeShake A Tail Feather (Part 1)Shake A Tail Feather (Part 2)I Can't Believe (She Gave It All To Me)Georgie On My Mind (Live)Mother-In-Law (Seasaint Version)Tuff-EnuffHello My LoverDon't Le Me Down WomanHotcha MamaJump Into Your LoveWhen Something Is Wrong With My Baby Fever (Outtake)Surely (Live)Side 2A Place Where We Can Be FreeLet Me Love YouSo GoodShake, Rattle And RollWhoever Is Thrilling You (Is Killing Me)Here Comes The GirlsYou Did It BabyBack Street LoverMy Love For YouA Long Way Back HomeI'm Only HumanLady MamaTalkin' About This WomanFly Away With MeT'ain't It The Truth (Live)Mother-In-Law (Live)
