Faun Fables - Family Album - VINYL LP

Mother Twilight is the second Faun Fables album, a salute to the twin portals of travelling and twilight, and justly noted as a work containing true artifacts of the oral underworld tradition by Scottish author R.J. Stewart. In that tradition, Dawn and Nils hand-assembled the first pressing and peddled it to nearly every bar and rural hall across North America from 2001-2003. Drag City reissued the CD in 2004. This is it's first ever vinyl edition!

Twenty years after it's CD , The Transit Rider finally pulls into the vinyl depot. First realized as a musical theatre piece & further developed live prior to recording, TTR amplifies Faun Fables' bristly performance presence & electroacoustic wash of Anglo-European folk sounds, from traditional to Kurt Weill to folk-rock. Spread over four sides, with revamped artwork and previously unseen photos from the original stage show, the hour-long commute comes alive in a medley of larger-than-life moments in song.
