Two of the biggest and most charismatic indie rappers are at it again. Slub and Murs return to pay homage to another InchundergroundInch actress in meed of well deserved attention. This time they brought Atmosphere producer Ant along to create the musical bed for this fun filled funk ride.

Lamb of God's tenth album, InchInto OblivionInch, sees them embracing their position as music veterans Beholden to no one, with nothing to prove. As such, InchInto OblivionInch is an album that simultaneously references LOG's roots, doubles down on their signature groove, and explores new sonic territory. Ask vocalist Randy Blythe why the band decided to call their tenth album InchInto OblivionInch, and he doesn't mince words InchBecause that's where we're heading,Inch he says. InchIn general, the album is about the ongoing and rapid breakdown of the social contract, particularly here in America. Things are acceptable now that would've horrified people just 20 years ago.Inch Blythe also explores underlying factors of personal accountability. InchPeople's increasing inability to accept uncertainty within their own lives has led them to look for someone to tell them, 'Everything's going to be okay as long as you believe in me. I have all the answers. I alone can fix it,'Inch Blythe says. InchThere's this willing relinquishing of agency and of responsibility.Inch Produced by the band's longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur, InchInto OblivionInch was recorded at three different studios across thecountry. The drums were tracked at The Bakery in Richmond. The guitars and bass were tracked at Mark Morton's (guitar) home studio in Virginia. The vocals were recorded at Total Access, the legendary studio in Redondo Beach, California, that birthed Black Flag's InchMy WarInch and seminal records from Hu¨sker Du¨, Descendants and Saint Vitus. InchWhen I walked in there, I immediately felt at home because I felt that punk rock history, which is the world I come from,Inch Blythe enthuses. In the end, all these factors-the music, the recording, the lyrical themes, and the band's own creative goals-coalesced into what you hear on InchInto OblivionInch.

Back in the early 2000's two burgeoning stars of the independent Hip-Hop scene, Slug (Atmosphere/Rhymesayers) and Murs (Living Legends), joined forces to make some music, have some fun, and pay a tongue-in-cheek tribute to a Hollywood actress they felt was under-appreciated. The two MC's found reprieve in stepping away from their individual works in order to share beats and trade bars, all with a bit of a friendly challenge in their back-and-forth delivery. What started as a cathartic exercise quickly turned into a series of remarkable releases as Murs and Slug would periodically reunite to make new Felt records, teaming up with a different producer/friend each time which resulted in each album feeling uniquely different from the last.After Felt 1 A Tribute to Christina Ricci (2002, produced by The Grouch) and Felt 2 A Tribute to Lisa Bonet (2005, produced by Ant), the duo returned in 2009 with Felt 3 A Tribute to Rosie Perez produced by yet another indie Hip-Hop legend, Aesop Rock. While this third installment still carried some of the lightheartedness as their previous releases, it also took on an edgier feel, with the group tackling some darker subject matter than previous releases, resulting in some of their best work with songs like, InchPermanent StandbyInch, InchProtagonistsInch, InchBass For Your TruckInch, InchFelt Chewed UpInch and more.Now, in celebration of it's 10th anniversary, the album has been pressed on a limited edition 2xLP blue & white galaxy effect vinyl, with 1 of 3 limited bonus die-cut picture discs featuring exclusive remixes.
