So I ordered this online as it was out of stock in store. I returned it to my local store as this special edition was sent in a bubble wrap envelope and this beautiful box was basically a round wrinkled blob. At the store the associate told me they have no control over warehouse shipping and they can't even leave a comment. So they returned it and I'm getting a second in the mail. Oddly enough I ordered some stainless bolts and washers from McMaster Carr and they came in the same day in a nice box with packaging...the bolts... The game is fun, I already owned the regular. The special edition contents seem great but I'm waiting on my next copy to arrive.

If you are considering this special edition, you know you are a fan. So, you will probably enjoy the game for the pure fact it has Fire Emblem Characters. It's a fun hack and slash game. Not all games relieve stress, but this one will. Now, for the presentation itself, there is a pretty cool poster with all the characters and their respective games featured. Not really one to hang up, though. Thick stock cards of all the characters are inside of a glossy box, which is different. I quite like flipping through them. But then you'll probably put them back in the box, too. There's also a comprehensive soundtrack. I'd say this alone justified the ten extra dollars paid with GCU. The collector's edition won't wow anyone, but it's a good price for the fans.

It's a warriors game so you should know what to expect. Just turn your brain off and have fun against the hordes of enemies thrown against you. There is cool implementation of FE specific mechanics that make it feel unique. As far as the Special Edition goes, it is decent for the asking price. An art book would have been nice but I like the poster and character cards.

The game might be just above average but the special edition is amazing. The poster included is very detailed, the soundtrack comes with 3 discs, and the character cards are well printed and come in a cool little box. Also I'm happy that it wasnt so hard to get like other special editions from Nintendo.

Gameplay in Progress.... I cannot stand the warriors-esque games(Dynasty Warriors, Warriors Orochi, etc). Anything warriors based majority times I cannot enjoy due to its ridiculously simplistic gameplay, casual difficulty, and heavy repetitive gameplay. I have not enjoyed a decent warriors games since Dynasty Warriors 4. Yes... Its been that long time! However, Fire Emblem Warriors is an exception. Their is challenge, their is a semi decent story, and their is some competent AI. The game emcompasses nearly the entire fire emblem cast from the original fire emblem released on gameboy advanced Starring Lyn and Eliwood, Fire Emblem Path of Radiance star(Ike)(I think, not sure), Fire Emblem Awakening characters-Chrom, Frederick, etc, Fire Emblem Conquest and Birthright characters(Korrin, etc), Fire Emblem Echoes, and finally Fire Emblem Warriors Characters with their own story Rowan and Lianna. The entire soundtrack of the game is extremely good! Majority of the soundtracks of the game are from other fire emblem games. So Fire Emblem Warriors is quite impressive for a warriors like game. Because of this title, I may purchase Dynasty Warriors 9. The Collection itself... This has to be one of the best collector's box for a video game I have ever encountered next to the upcoming Ni No Kuni 2 for ps4 and the past release Naruo Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 for the ps4, xbox one. The game includes a Collectible Card Set, A 3 disk compact disc soundtrack, an amazing poster, one that is double sided in english and japanese , and hands down the most beautiful chrome(chrom- get it???? :D) like box I have ever seen, the game itself It looks beautiful next to my future chrom, luciana, and tiki amiibos. 8/10

I'm a pretty big Fire Emblem fan. So when I heard this game was coming out I bought it without thinking. When the game arrived I was sorta shocked at what I had received. I wasn't expecting an action game, but it ended up being a very pleasant surprise. I've played the old Dynasty Warriors games, but years ago on PS2 and not really since. So, I missed the Zelda Warriors game and the Gundam games. This game does a great job of blending world of Fire Emblem with the (upgraded) mechanics of the Warrior's games I used to love. I've been playing the game for about 15 hours now and it's hard to put down. Especially since since there isn't another game quite like this out for the Switch at this time. If I somehow lost this game, I'd go buy it again.

Love this game because action hack and slash game with strategy are not that common unless you know where to look for. I played a lot of dynasty and samurai warriors and I love what it manages to do here by pairing your characters, giving them commands and switching characters across the map to another area while adding the triangle weapon system(rock, paper, scissor) from Fire Emblem series. Character's cinematic dialogue is well done and love the soundtrack.I wished the choice of character's weapon would have been more diverse ( ninjas, thief class are missing and some other many FE characters are missing). It's a great game!

You get player cards of all the fighters and music as well. This Special Edition is pretty awesome. The action never stops in this game.

Fire Emblem Warriors is a fun cross between a button-mashing action game and a strategy role-playing game. While most of the elements here are based on the former, some Fire Emblem ideas are represented in the game, such as the weapon triangle, relationships, issuing commands, and enemy classes. This makes for a unique and strong Warriors game, but a sub-par Fire Emblem experience. Some people may be turned off by the extensive lack of depth, and knowing what this game is beforehand will curtail your disappointment.

If you like the Fire Emblem series and beat 'em ups, you'll have a good time. This is also an impressive special edition - well worth the extra money.

Awesome twist on an age old formula originating from the dynasty warriors series of yesteryear. Fans of fire emblem will get the most out of it but those who aren't as familiar with the series will still enjoy this title. If you have already had your fill of the warriors series than this title might not push your needle to 5/5 stars but it is still a worthy game if you want to have some fun. Like Hyrule warriors before it, this game is an odd but successful mix of a Nintendo IP and KOEI Warriors. ENJOY!

I started this game expecting a similar play style as Hyrule Warriors. But this game is actually deeper and does feature more strategy elements. This is a welcome change as the fighting in these types of games can get very repetitive. Overall, this is a great game and the extra perks included make the special edition a worthwhile purchase for any Fire Emblem fan... especially when paired with the gamers club unlocked discount.

I wouldn't stack this game up with any technical powerhouses. This game isn't going to blow you away with its complex level of detail; AI are all copy pastes outside of major players. The game isn't a political powerhouse; the story stays light and accessible to all. What makes this game work well however is it is a Musuo-style (Army Beat-em up) that is colorful and fun. Whether in docked or portable mode, the game holds up. While there are a few more "complex" mechanics (in contrast to the basic beat-em up processes), they aren't going to confuse you. The enemies are usually easy to identify due to a "Red vs Blue" visual style that makes general troops easy spotted on the battlefield. The only exception to this are the major enemies who have a style all their own. Specifically towards the Special Edition of this game, I am not so sure it is worth the money. As a collector of sorts, I purchase all kinds of special editions. This one was a little... odd. Particularly, I am referencing the cards the game comes with. One might expect when they read "card" that it is a pack of baseball/collectible card sized items but this is not true. The cards are the size of the box itself and are somewhat unwieldy to view. While they are pretty to some degree, they are also minimalistic and bland as well. They offer nothing more than an image of the character and some shimmering film atop. The backs of the cards offer nothing other than the emblem. While they could be neat to pin up in a room, they are really an oddity that are difficult to place in your home. I think you're better off skipping the special edition in general but the game really is worth your time!

I've had fun with the game do far. I've been a fan of Dynasty Warriors and Fire Emblem so I'm used to the mechanics and enjoy the interactions between characters. For newcomers, I'd recommend looking at some videos of the gameplay to see if you'd enjoy it. It's a bit unfortunate this got released so close to Mario Odyssey since this game often gets overlooked.

First off, this is a great game. I’m not a fan of the regular Warriors franchise, but loved Hyrule Warriors, and now this game. Excellent gameplay, visuals, and music make this a recommendation. A couple things to know: the story is (sadly) mediocre at best, and there are only a few Fire Emblem games represented (I want Ike, dang it!) Even so, there’s a plethora of characters to play as, and more on the way.

Everything you could expect from a warriors installment. All the good grinding game play with great visuals. Tons of action and tons of enemies to preform your unlocked abilities on. Very satisfying if this is your thing. Naturally the title should draw in the type of person that would like this but if you're a fan of either franchise and on the fence about it, try it out. You'll be satisfied.

This game features all of the traditional Fire Emblem stars (e.g. Mirth, Corrin, et al.) and plays like the other games in the series. It's nothing ground breaking, and they play it safe by sticking with the same traditional formula. Then again this game is a Nintendo Switch title, and for a platform that is lacking of titles in general, for that reason alone I recommend this as a purchase.

Fun crossover if you're a fan of the Fire Emblem series and the Warriors franchise. If you've played Hyrule Warriors and enjoyed that game, you'll likely enjoy this edition as well. The collectors edition also comes with some nice extras for Fire Emblem fans. Only downside is this game really only includes characters from the recent games from the franchise. Hopefully more in future DLC.
