Flashpoint Zoom Li-Ion X MID R2 TTL Round Flash For Canon (ZLX MID Series) Professional Power. Perfect Size The Flashpoint Zoom Li-Ion X MID R2 TTL Round Flash for Canon (ZLX MID) represents the next evolution of on-camera lighting for Canon photographers. Purpose-built for the modern mirrorless era and fully optimized for Canon E-TTL / E-TTL II systems, it delivers professional-level performance, refined light quality, and advanced wireless control in a perfectly balanced medium-size design. Positioned between compact mini flashes and full-size flagship speedlights, the ZLX MID offers the ideal combination of power, portability, and handling. It provides significantly more output, endurance, and control than small flashes, while remaining lighter, slimmer, and better balanced than oversized professional units. The result is a flash that feels natural on today's compact camera bodies, remains comfortable during long shoots, and fits easily into travel and location kits. Inspired by the acclaimed round-head V1 series and designed as its little brother, the ZLX MID brings the same lighting philosophy, magnetic modifier system, wireless R2 control, and modern touchscreen interface into a refined medium-class form factor. It is the everyday professional flash for photographers who demand reliability, speed, and beautiful light without carrying unnecessary bulk. Available for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus, and Panasonic, the ZLX MID integrates seamlessly into the Flashpoint R2 wireless lighting ecosystem, delivering full TTL automation, high-speed sync, multi-group radio control, and intuitive touchscreen operation in a compact, highly portable design. Designed as a True Medium-Size Professional Flash As mirrorless cameras continue to dominate professional photography, shooters are increasingly seeking lighting tools that deliver serious performance while maintaining a compact and well-balanced footprint. The ZLX MID was engineered specifically to meet this demand. Unlike large flagship flashes that can feel front-heavy and awkward on smaller mirrorless bodies, or compact flashes that compromise power, battery life, and control, the ZLX MID occupies the perfect middle ground. It delivers professional output and endurance while maintaining a lighter, slimmer profile that sits naturally on the camera hot shoe. Balance is improved, handling feels more secure, and fatigue is reduced during long wedding days, extended event coverage, and handheld portrait sessions. With a size similar to compact professional flashes such as the V480 class, yet equipped with a true round head, the ZLX MID becomes an ideal daily-use professional flash. It transitions effortlessly between weddings and events, portrait and editorial work, commercial location shoots, and travel or documentary assignments. This medium-size format makes it especially appealing to photographers who want professional lighting performance without the bulk and weight of oversized gear. Soft, Natural Light from a True Round Head At the core of the ZLX MID is its true round flash head, designed to produce a more natural and flattering light pattern than traditional rectangular speedlights. The circular design creates even, symmetrical light distribution with smoother transitions from highlight to shadow and more pleasing edge falloff. Catchlights appear round and natural, skin tones are rendered more smoothly, and highlights retain a refined, organic quality. This softer, more natural beam pattern makes the ZLX MID especially well suited for portraits, weddings, fashion, lifestyle, and editorial photography, where subtle transitions and flattering highlights are essential. An integrated magnetic accessory mount allows modifiers to attach instantly, enabling fast, tool-free light shaping with domes, grids, gels, and diffusers perfect for fast-paced shooting environments and on-location workflows.

The Speedlite EL-5 is a newly designed flash that receives many features from the flagship Speedlite EL-1 while also including modern features all its own. Two popular features found in the EL-5 are the modeling lamp and the use of the high-capacity LP-EL rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack. The modeling lamp aids the photographer in seeing the effect of the flash’s light emission, including providing an idea of how shadows will fall on a subject. With this battery pack, and firing at full 1/1 manual flash power, the Speedlite EL-5 emits a guide number of 60m/169.9ft @ 200mm (at approx. ISO 100) with the ability to recycle to full power in just 1.2 seconds, and with the potential for up to 350 full power flashes being possible on a single battery charge. To improve working with the Speedlite EL-5 the joystick and select dial from the EL-1 are featured making operation easy, so adjustments can be made quickly, while shooting. Additionally, the new Multi-function connector at the EL-5’s “foot” enables advanced communication on multi-function shoe equipped cameras1 providing more customization and control to be shared between the flash and camera. **Important: because of the transition to Canon’s Multi-function accessory shoe, please be aware that Speedlite EL-5 cannot be mounted or used on Canon cameras with other accessory shoe designs.
