This is very sturdy material. I sit in an office chair with casters for about 9 hours a day, I'm a big woman and the mat (on carpet) doesn't leave any indentations. My last maat was cheap and it left indentations that I kept rolling back into and getting stuck so that I couldn't get as close to the desk as I wanted. Now I can roll about with eaze. I highly recommend this product.
