About this product

For their first album in the Cypres Open collection, the duo formed by Julien de Borman and Sébastien Willemyns unveils their sound universe full of dreamy and softly electronic sounds. Flygmaskin, literally flying machine. One can read in it the breath of the wind, the journey that ignores what the visible hides. One can hear the sensitive call of wandering. The machine is the sound, precise and fluid. The fuel? This singular mixture of keyboards, the essential dialogues between the accordionist, the keyboardist and the silence. A subtle invitation to breathe, to take time to get away.

Flyg - Collected Chamber Music - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

This album is a collection of recently recorded Chamber music by the Swedish composer Maria Lithell Flyg. There's a saxophone quartet, a duo with piano and cello, an oboe quartet, a duo with soprano saxophone and percussion, a duo for two violins and finally a piece for barython, piano, violin and a vocal ensemble. Maria Lithell Flyg has always been driven by curiosity, a hunger for learning, and a desire to express herself. The path to becoming a composer had it's twists and turns, even though she began crafting lyrics and tunes at a very tender age. Though Maria had her formal training relatively late in life, she has already composed a significant number of pieces for some of Sweden's finest musicians, such as the Stockholm Saxophone Quartet, Cecilia Zillacus, Olle Persson, Musica Vitae, and others.

DIIV - Deceiver - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Occupying the corners between fuzzed-out shoegaze bliss, troubadour poetry, and metallic catharsis, DIIV - Zachary Cole Smith [lead vocals, guitar], Colin Caulfield [vocals, bass], Andrew Bailey [guitar], and Ben Newman [drums] - personally inhabit the recesses of their third full-length album, Deceiver. A whirlwind brought DIIV here. On the heels of 2012's Oshin, the group delivered the critical and fan favorite Is the Is Are in 2016. Praise came from The Guardian, Spin, Rolling Stone and more. Pitchfork's audience voted Is the Is Are one of the Top 50 Albums of 2016, as the outlet dubbed it Inchgorgeous.Inch Simultaneously, frontman Zachary Cole Smith faced down seemingly dormant demons, and the momentum stalled. Two years after embarking on a program of recovery, Smith has emerged with a clear head and renewed focus. For the first time, DIIV lived with songs on the road. During a 2018 tour with Deafheaven, they performed eight new compositions as the bulk of the set. The tunes progressed as the players did. By the time DIIV entered 64 Sound to record with producer Sonny Diperri, the band felt a certain confidence. It's evident on first single InchSkin Game,Inch which gallops forth on a clean guitar riff before unfolding into a hypnotic hook offset by an off-kilter rhythm and hummable solo. InchBeing a recovering addict myself,Inch he says, Inchthere are a lot of questions like, 'Who are we? What is this disease? Skin Game' looks at where the pain comes from - the personal, physical, emotional, and broader political experiences feeding into the cycle of addiction for millions of us.Inch A trudging groove and wailing guitar punctuate a lulling apology on the magnetically melancholic InchTaker.Inch For Smith, it's Inchabout taking responsibility for your lies, their consequences, and the entire experience.Inch Meanwhile, the ominous bass line and crawling beat of Inch
