Absolutely love this game. It is what they call a closed beta due to it being released for free somewhere in 2018. Don't wait til then pick it up. Build epic buildings, design your own unique siphon traps, it's just a fun game. I think I've spent more time building my shields recently then fighting zombie storms. It's just all around fun and relaxing. Play with friends or randoms. Servers do get laggy I won't lie but if your a zombie fan & just want something new & fun to play pick it up. Some say it's a cross between Minecraft and PvZ all I know is I haven't put it down

Fortnite has two modes to keep you busy. The story mode (Save the World) isn't a big campaign but it's still entertaining and helps gamers learn the controls. The online mode (Battle Royale) features a large map and a huge online community. Controls and graphics are top notch and load times are pretty fast considering how big the online community is. It would be nice if there was an AI mode for the Battle Royale though so you didn't have to be online while learning to play.

This is a fun game to play in a group of 4. It is a wave based horde mode game with building aspects. To me it feels a lot like plants vs zombies mixed with minecraft. I love the art style and the unlocks. There is definitely some deep aspects to this game with plenty to unlock over time. Please be aware the game is currently in early access and while it feels like a complete game, it still is early access so there may be minor bugs and changes over time.

I was really hopefull on this one, probably shouldn't have purchased. Recommend renting first, could be OK game for the right person (younger). To an adult it just seems boring after a while. Beware- this game is also all about "in game currency". I think that has ruined gaming! I remember when people didn't like paying for DLC!!! Paying real money for fake money is just dumb

Fortnite is a good game with some caveats. It is much more enjoyable playing with friends, or randoms online if that is your thing. Also if you are into grinding for loot drops and skill building. The game focuses on building up a hero class of your chose and using their skills to build up a home base that powers a "storm shield". The shield keeps out the zombie invasion that is happening. You have a quest line and various mission outside the shield that allow you to gather more supplies, survivors and earn XP to level up your skill tree. The controls are all fluid and the skill tree is huge with multiple pages to it. There is a ton of missions, but they can get repetitive with grinding the same mission type over and over. If that is your thing, grab some friends and build up your fort to take on the zombie hordes and survive!

I was a founder and played quite a bit at launch. The game is quite a bit of fun with a lot of kinks to work out. The addition of Battle Royale has made the game even more fun and added infinite replayability for sure. I don’t know that I recommend paying for the full game right now, but free Battle Royale is absolutely worth it.

The game is fun but not worth full price. A majority of the game is free on the market which I found out after purchasing. It’s also a pay to win gamestyle. I would recommend playing the free battle royal.
