This rangefinder style lens hood helps prevent lens flare and reduces sun glare by extending and shading the front lens element from exposure. The vented cutouts of the hood are designed to not block the view from the rangefinder's viewfinder. The hood screws directly onto the filter threads of the lens and allows for a inner pinch lens cap to be used directly on the hood.
