On their debut collaboration, Teddy Thompson (son of Richard Thompson (ex Fairport Convention, and a very successful Solo artist - folk / folk-rock)) and Linda Thompson (folk solo artist) and Kelly Jones (not the Stereophonics singer) give listeners ten engaging views of the joys and sorrows of love and the vagaries of the human heart - from wide-eyed wonderment ('Wondering') to lingering nostalgia ('I Thought That We Said Goodbye'), from promises ('Make A Wish On Me') and pleas ('Don't Remind Me') to sad self-deception ('Better At Lying'). Longtime mutual admirers, Teddy and Kelly (or TT and KJ, as they affectionately call each other) first sang together at LA's Club Largo in 2011. A George Jones song. The harmony blend was goosebump good. It seemed only natural to do more. There began a two-year, bi-coastal, multi-seasonal creative volley. Some of the songs were penned in summer, in a West Hollywood bungalow surrounded by palm trees and cactuses. The others arrived during fall and winter, in a Greenwich Village high-rise with a skyline view. But no matter the setting or season, Teddy, Kelly and their writing partner Bill DeMain (aka BD) were only concerned with capturing complex emotions with simple honesty, and writing songs that would measure up to those by favorite artists like the Everly Brothers, Buddy Holly and Sam Cooke. And open these Little Windows, one by one, over and over, and you'll discover something wonderfully moving and true in each. Album Tracks 1. Never Knew You Loved Me Too 2. Make a Wish on Me 3. Better at Lying 4. Wondering 5. I Thought That We Said Goodbye 6. Don't Remind Me 7. As You Were 8. Only Fooling 9. You Can't Call Me Baby 10. You Took My Future

Four Tet's now classic albums of the electronic genre, Pause (2001) and Rounds (2003), are available againon gorgeously rich vinyl. Pause is an utterly modern, far-out reverie of an album. The whole thing works like a charm. - URB. Album Tracks 1. Glue of the World 2. Twenty Three 3. Harmony One 4. Parks 5. Leila Came Round and We Watched a Video 6. Untangle 7. Everything Is Alright 8. No More Mosiquitoes 9. Tangle 10. You Could Ruin My Day 11. Hilarious Movie of the 90's

Four Tet expands on the new age meditations of his recent singles with a freshly focused New Energy. Fully formed within the endlessly possible creative confines of Ableton Live, New Energy follows on from 2015's Morning / Evening and features contributions from Tom Baker & Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith. - Mixing his usual classic trip-hop leanings with a digitized melodic and at times melancholic edge, New Energy neatly pulls together the lighter ends of Beautiful Rewind's house moves and Morning / Evening's rich atmospherics. This is most perfectly pieced together on the twisted wheel UKG of Scientists, an offering of solace to those waiting for a new collab 12Inch with Burial to form. Before the sparkly-treated guitar notes that are a recurring theme throughout bubble up to the forefront on the Coil Dark River-esq Thousand & Seventeen, imagine a rainbow of paint running all over the Coil classics oil black surface. - The ambient episodes ring strong also, from the angelic upstart of Tremper to the haunted dialogue of Gentle Soul, a glassy surface capturing the influence of F.U.S.E's Nightdrive cruise is mirrored, showing Hawtin's AI belter a strong new mode of studio extraction. This is topped off nicely with SW9 9SL and LA Trance, each a blend of mnml techno tones. Album Tracks 1. Alap 1 22 2. Thousand and Seventeen 4 12 3.
