Description: Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Hot Rats cemented Frank Zappa as a musical force to be reckoned with. The album, recorded on a prototype 16- track recorder, sounds as fresh and sonically superior on this 180 gram audiophile edition as it did when first released in 1969. Blending rock and jazz stylings with top call studio musicians, it opened the door to InchFusion MusicInch while putting FZ on the guitar player map. Captain Beefheart makes a special guest appearance. It truly is a InchMovie For Your Ears.Inch Album Tracks 1. Peaches en Regalia 2. Willie the Pimp 3. Son of Mr. Green Genes 1. Little Umbrellas 2. Zappa Garage Jazz Rock
Hard to believe this album is from 1969. Frank Zappa was leading the way with this set of jazz rock instrumental pieces. Great keyboards, drumming, horns and guitars. Zappa was a certainly a man ahead of his time. Sounds great on heavyweight vinyl. A masterpiece.

True fusion
I heard Gumbo Variations in like 2004 on satellite radio, in 2006 I heard Willie the Pimp on same satellite station. This was the first time in my life I ever heard any of this on vinyl. definitely worth the wait, but why wait? Buy yours today!!

People that don't like Frank Zappa love this album
Frank made a very musical statement with this almost all instrumental album. A forerunner to the 70's jazz/rock fusion sound, I would be willing to bet that Jeff Beck has a copy of this album in his collection.

The reason Zappa is a genius
This is classic Zappa without the potty humor.
Vinyl was perfect. Mastering was excellent.
What a ride this was hearing it on vinyl.
