French Dirty - BLU-RAY

They had no rules, no plan and no way out! This riveting adventure stars Michael Caine as a fuel expert hired to aid a renegade troop on a sure-fire suicide mission: Cross the unforgiving Sahara Desert and destroy a strategic Nazi oil reserve.

Teenage kicks take a decidedly dark turn in director Douglas Grossman's Hell High - a twisted tale of delinquency pushed to it's horrifying extreme, where Class of 1984 meets I Spit on Your Grave! When high school football hero Jon-Jon (Breaking Bad's Christopher Cousins) quits the team, he winds up falling in with a group of outcasts led by the sadistic Dickens (played to unhinged perfection by the late Christopher Stryker). With a willing new recruit in tow, the gang's youthful hijinks soon spiral into a night of abject horror when they decide to play a cruel prank on the home of their teacher Miss Storm - who, unbeknownst to the youngsters, harbors a dark and tormented past. Hell High - which was released in some international territories as Raging Fury - is a singular entry in the late '80s horror canon, melding elements of the revenge movie with the trappings of the slasher genre to delirious effect. School's out... forever!

Matt Johnson's (Blackberry, Operation Avalanche, Nirvana the Band the Show) first feature, THE DIRTIES is one of the most haunting coming-of-age films of the decade. Told with equal parts satire and warning through a raw, painfully authentic feeling found-footage style, and with almost no scripted dialogue, THE DIRTIES is a darkly comic and deeply disturbing exploration of friendship, obsession, and the power of storytelling. Two best friends, Matt (Johnson) and Owen (Owen Williams), are outcasts at their high school smart, funny, and constantly harassed by bullies. To cope, they channel their pain into a film project called The Dirties, a revenge fantasy where they strike back against their tormentors on screen. But as the line between fiction and reality begins to blur, their project takes a darker and more unsettling turn.
