The Fridgadre AC unit is really good for powerful unit at this price, creates cool air quickly, however it is a little noisy as it cranks up and pumps out air. Lots of different settings which is good.

I bought this unit to cool my grandmother's 750 sqft house. It does cool the entire house pretty well (she does have ceiling fans to help circulate the air) but it is very loud compared to other units she has had in the past. The biggest complaint we have with the unit is that after the desired temperature is reached in the house, the unit will randomly cut on & run for literally a minute or 2 and then cut off again (it's not long enough to change the temp in the room and we have tried all of the different setting options trying to fix this.) It is extremely annoying at night when you are trying to sleep since the unit is very noisy. I would recommend this unit for places where the noise level of the unit will not be an issue. It does cool a large area and it does it fairly quickly. It is not a unit that you would want to use where someone is sleeping or trying to watch TV.

Needs 220 for electric. But it runs quietly and cools quickly. Even though we put it through the wall it would work in the window.

This brand is quieter than its competitors. I bought this and a Kenmore, this one is better.

We had a 24,000 in its place, but it seems to be working pretty well.

Great investment for your home if you do not have central cooling !
