I needed a dehumidifier for the basement of my 2,800 square foot two story house. I read about this model and purchased it knowing it had an optional hose attachment I could use since I have a drain that goes to my sump pump area in my basement. I had the unit shipped to my house. Set up took about 5 mins mostly reading the directions and removing packinging material. I started by using the standard bucket that comes with the unit. This did fill quite quickly, easily being emptied once every six hours. After the first week, I installed the hose attachment. I cut about a 2.5 foot piece of extra hose I had and made a gentle grade from the hose output (left side when looking at the front of the unit) and emptying into my drain. I have the humidity set at 50. The unit works great, no drips from the hose connection, drains into my drain fine, gets the humidity to about 48 in the basement, shuts down the condenser, then if it stays there, shuts down the fan until the humidity goes above 50% or so. For the cost of this unit with the hose attachment it is great for my use. If you are going to use the bucket option, be ready to be emptying the bucket 2 times a day to keep the humidity down. I am very happy with my purchase.

Purchased this for a separate living area at our cabin. Once plugged in and operating for a few minutes it started dripping water. The container filled overnight and the auto shut off worked great. I then connected a hose using the adaptor and set the humidity setting to 40 percent and it held it at that level. The unit is very quiet.

Hooked up hose to unit and turned it on. That simple. Does the job well. Very quite and efficient.

Does a great job for the upstairs of our 3 br apt where the humidity was really heavy. Being only a 30pt capacity the bucket was full roughly every other day. Which isn't a bad thing (for my family at least) as my sons are both Autism Spectrum so we made it part of the routine to empty the water. The filter is also really easy to clean too. Cleaning the bucket is a bit more difficult until you get the hang of how best to remove to clear plastic cover and IT DOES NEED TO BE CLEANED at least every 2 weeks (I wipe it out with a damp cloth weekly to prevent buildup, but that's a personal choice). It runs great, I set it to 55% and it was noticably less humid within an hour or so of turning it on. I highly recommend this product to those looking for something that is not highly expensive but that does what it's needed to do. Looking at a 50pt dehumidifier version of this for our basement.

It is quiet, efficient, and looks like a rolling luggage bag a storm trooper would take on a trip to Orlando.

Replaced my 10 year old piece of junk dehumidifier after it flooded my brand new floor. I have a split level so the downstairs gets very humid in the summer. This runs much quieter than my old one, but you can still hear it a bit if you are in the other room. I set it to 40% humidity, so it pretty much runs constantly so far. It's been an extremely humid July/August/September. Electric bill is higher due to the constant running, but electric rates have sky-rocketed, so not really the fault of the dehumidifier. I like the style, weight, controls, etc. Bucket isn't awkward to remove and put back in. To sum up - it does the job WELL, and fairly quietly.

We have our dehumidifier running in the basement and use the hose to drain to the sump pump so we don't need to worry about frequently emptying the bin. The controls are easy to see and have many options. The precise feedback on humidity levels is very nice. It works well in our house and runs quietly and seems to be very efficient.

This dehumidifier looks nice, is easy to setup and use, and is relatively quiet. A few things stopped me from giving it a 5. There is no place to put the plastic hose adapter if the internal bucket is used so there's a chance of it getting lost or misplaced. The timer is good for just one setup so I can't just have it run only at night without resetting the timer each day. Even though the fan is pretty quiet it would be nice to have an automated way for it to run just certain hours a day. I wish I had gotten a higher capacity version in order to reduce the humidy faster and potentially it wouldn't have to run as much.

The unit is quiet but has a small reservoir. Digital display shows current humidity level and helps with adjustments. Reservoir level displayed on the front of the unit. Easy hookup to external drain to avoid having to empty manually.

So far(only used it for 2 days) I love it. It is quiet & easy to move around to different rooms. It does fill up fast though, I have a 70 pint in our underneath garage that I son't move. Bought frigidaire due to it being top rated.

Works great in my basement. I dont have it hooked up to the drain so i have to empty the bucket 2x a day to keep the humidity at a comfortable 45%. It is quiet, easy to move around.

This dehumidifier works just as intended. I have it in a finished basement where it keeps the humidity at about 59%. I have to empty it a couple of times a week.

I purchased this for my 1500 sq foot house. It took a few days to do the job and ran all the time. Now it rarely has to cut on. My asthma is noticeably better since buying this machine.

We can drop the humidity to low 50s with this bad boy. Easy to use, turn on for 8 hrs, empty the water. Rinse and repeat.

This unit is much quieter than others I've owned. I'm able to run it at night in the bedroom and not be bothered by it. Does a good job in the bedroom/bathroom area. Not as heavy as others I've owned and it has a handle on top. The bucket is easy to remove and I like that it has a window in front to show how full it is.

I live in the basement, and it was becoming uncomfortable. I considered a portable AC, but heat wasn't my problem, moisture was. I did extensive research before buying this unit. No assembly was required. Heavy to lift out of the box, but after that, the wheels glide quite nicely. I can't believe how much moisture there was in the basement! As per the manual. I left it on continuously for the first 3 days. I dumped water frequently, but it was easy. After a week, i would only need to dump water once a day. I've had it for over a month and my living space has become so comfortable. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars is because the unit blows out warm air, but with dehumidifiers, that can't be avoided.

It's fantabulous. I did a lot of research on dehumidifiers before buying this one. Our previous dehumidifier broke after 2.5 years. All Frigidaire dehumidifiers had great reviews and they seem to make solid products. I usually go for the cheaper model but I wanted something that was going to last. Keep that in mind. Yes you can get a similar off brand for cheaper but theres a great chance it will last half the life if not more than the Frigidaire. So far so good. I hooked up a hose to let it drain into our basement floor drain. Easy to setup. Its built well. Compared to our previous off brand, the door opens and closes better and has a solid feel. Finally, its lighter than expected which is nice because I do take it other places. Very satisfied!

I work with birds of prey who are highly susceptible to a disease called Aspergillosis caused by mold. This dehumidifier works great to keeping humidity out of the areas that I keep my birds, so they remain healthy and alive!

The product is very efficient. Stored in an upstairs hallway approximately 700 sq feet. Very quiet operating machine. Improved humidity in my house.
