I replaced a 15-year-old top-of-the-line KitchenAid wall oven with this Frigidaire, and honestly, I’m shocked by how much I love it. A new KitchenAid was far more expensive, yet this model reaches 750 °F for pizza, something I have never seen on any otehr oven regardless of price. I chose Frigidaire partly out of nostalgia, my mom’s Frigidaire refrigerator lasted 25 years and was still running when she replaced it. So I decided to give their oven a shot. Installation: I purchased through Best Buy and used their pre-measurement service to ensure the oven would fit. The initial measurement said “no modifications needed,” but the first installation left a large gap that required a second visit. Best Buy handled everything professionally, and I added a $30 trim piece myself. I didn’t bother with the Fit Promise reimbursement because overall the service and final fit were great. Performance: The oven is impressively quiet, far quieter than my old KitchenAid. The convection and Air Fry modes run so silently that I only realized how powerful they were when I opened the door and felt the blast of heat. I’ve used Dehydrate mode to cure walnuts, Air Fry for chicken and fries, and Stone-Baked Pizza twice so far. I’ve really used this oven a lot in a short time, and it continues to impress me. The pizza mode is outstanding. It really does bake in about two minutes, though I like to give mine an extra 20 seconds for a little more color on top. I also have a Komodo grill that can hit 700 °F, but honestly, this oven is more predictable and consistently produces restaurant-quality pizzas. Air Fry mode cooked large chicken breasts perfectly, crispy outside, moist inside, in only about 28 minutes. I still can’t believe the results. Steam Clean and Maintenance: I’ve used the Steam Clean feature twice now, and it works fine in that it is a convenient way to clean up after air frying or other messy cooking sessions. I plan to use the traditional high-heat self-clean only about once a year if that since that cycle can stress any oven over time. It’s nice that Frigidaire gives both options for flexibility and longevity. It does get a bit soggy with water left after steam clean that requires a tad more effort, but its just a good thing to have. Smart Features and Controls: The Frigidaire app works great, it connected easily, and I can check the oven or make quick adjustments right from my phone. Not everyone is into that sort of thing, but I like it. The on-unit controls are intuitive and well laid out, everything feels straightforward and responsive. Design and Details: I appreciate how thoughtfully engineered this oven is. The lights are easily accessible, and the temperature-probe connection is placed outside the oven cavity (unlike KitchenAid), which should make servicing easier and more reliable. You can tell Frigidaire’s engineers really considered long-term maintenance. I think sometimes we forget that behind these products there is a lot of inovation and thought given ... especially I think for this unit ... so really appreciated. I posted my review directly on the Frigidaire site because I genuinely love this oven and my overall experience with it. If I get ten years out of it, I’ll be thrilled, anything beyond that is a bonus. For the features, performance, and price, this is simply an outstanding product. Highly recommended.
