A: This unit cools by means of a thermo-electric cooling module. It requires adequate clearance for ventilation as there is a cooling fan located on the rear of the unit. It is not designed to be enclosed in a bar cabinet.
Q: The minimum temperature stated in the specs is 38F but my unit can't be set below 46F.
A: From the User Manual: This thermoelectric unit is designed to be a portable storage container for cold drinks and cold food in "COLD" mode. The unit cools 20-28 F below rooms ambient temperature depending upon environment. Note the digital temperature listed on the thermometer does not reflect the actual temperature of the unit inside. Please set your target temperature on the display to reflect your desired inside temperature but keep in mind the temperature shown will not necessarily reflect the temperature on the inside of the unit.
