For the Frigidaire IMKTTM0018 Top Mount Refrigerator Ice Maker Kit – White, the Frigidaire instructions say: Turning off the ice maker Press the Ice Maker On/Off button. The button’s green light indicates that the ice maker is ON. Press it again to turn it OFF. The ice maker also stops automatically when the ice bin is full. Cleaning the ice maker The instructions focus on cleaning the ice bin: 1. Turn off the ice maker. 2. Remove the ice bin from underneath the ice maker. 3. Empty the bin. 4. Wash the bin with mild soap/detergent and warm water. 5. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before putting it back. 6. Replace the bin and turn the ice maker back on. For the actual ice-maker components, the kit instructions do not call for disassembling or washing the ice maker itself. The Frigidaire product page identifies this kit as IMKTTM0018. Bottom line: Press the On/Off button to turn it off; clean the ice bin with mild soap and warm water, rinse, and dry completely. - Maico
