Got it right before they released GFX 100S II. I wish they released it a month earlier, but I don’t regret my purchase because I needed it for a trip. The weight and feel is solid and reasonable, with my 55mm and 20-35mm. The IBIS is state of the art, so is the EVF which is a notch above the 100S II. A wealth of custom function buttons, which is essential for a camera of this caliber.

What an amazing piece of kit! 100 megapixels is ridiculous but gives you so much flexibility. Deep crops of 50% still leave you with more resolution than an uncropped canon R5. Dynamic range is exceptional and gives you a lot of room to manipulate highlights and shadows. Though expensive, the GFX system is ar the apex of image quality. Every lens is as near to optical perfection as a lens can be. If you’re willing to carry the weight and accept the cost, this camera will not disappoint.

Having owned both the GFX100 and GFX100s, the GFX100ii brings the best of both cameras into one package. The focus is much better than previous versions of the camera and even though it doesn't rival a DSLR's shooting speed, the increased frame rate is great for small bursts or images when needed. I like that it uses the same battery as the GFX100s but I wish it had a little more staying power without the vertical grips ability to add a second battery.
