100% GALCHER was by all accounts a game-changer when it landed in 2013 as an hour of original music from a relatively unknown producer ushered in by the beloved mix series Blowing Up The Workshop. Galcher Lustwerk's signature sound - a smoky stream-of-consciousness baritone shadow-boxing with beats, informed by funk, rap, rhythm, and blues - felt like an epiphany, impossibly hypnotic and complete. Look Park, is the debut album from Chris Collingwood, lead singer and founding member of Fountains of Wayne, under the moniker, Look Park. It features his pop sensibilities and unmistakable vocals he made famous in Fountains. Similar to the way Fountains of Wayne chose it's name based on a garden store that was located near the band'??s rehearsal space, Look Park takes it's name from a park near Collingwood'??s home. The self-titled Look Park debut album was produced by Mitchell Froom (Elvis Costello, Crowded House, Sheryl Crowe, The Pretenders, Los Lobos). Look Park plans on touring in late summer beginning in the US, with UK and EU dates to follow.

House music would sound very different without the work of X-Press, who for the last three decades, and four studio albums, have been serving up a broad spectrum of tracks ranging from catchy, to anthemic, to moody and atmospheric. Heinrich Marschner's role as Germany's leading Romantic operatic composer in the generation between Weber and Wagner has tended to draw attention away from his accomplished chamber compositions. Marschner had a high regard for the piano trio genre, composing seven throughout his career, which won the admiration of his friends Robert and Clara Schumann. The Trio No. 1 in A minor is profusely lyrical and not without surprises and contrasts. Written three decades later, the Trio No. 7 in F major is a work of his maturity - assured, dramatic and energetic.
