This is a solid responsive wired controller that is a good choice for anyone on a budget that wants a top-notch hall sticks and RGB. Along with the controller, the package includes a detachable 10-foot USB-C to USB-A cable, a manual, and a 1-month Ultimate XBOX Game Pass. The controller is lightweight and is encased in a smooth plastic shell with texture on the grip areas. It has a USB-C port to connect it to the XBOX or PC with and an AUX port for headphones. It has high quality hall effect analog sticks, a quiet cardinal D-pad, and soft action buttons. Of the buttons, the A is unusually loud when clicked for some reason. There is no notable latency when it comes to this controller. The analog stick works immensely well and is comparable to far more expensive models. It is the highlight of the controller. The analog stick is coated in a grippy rubber that traps debris though, which may be worth considering if this is for someone who eats while gaming because I have only had it a few days and am already struggling to clean off whatever particles it is that got into them. The trigger buttons are also hall-effect and include adjustable trave via a switch in the back. The full distance of travel is not very far compared to other models which can be both a pro or con depending on the game and personal preferences. With the switched turned to quick-trigger mode, the buttons become more clicky when pressed, compared to their standard softness. The controller includes a mappable back button which is well-placed and designed. I don’t accidentally press it when playing because it is made flat and placed where the pads of my fingertips rest. Vibration is interesting in this controller. It’s two vibration systems don’t seem to vibe well. The handle vibration has a satisfying core rumble, but the trigger button’s vibrations is shallow and lackluster. Also, the vibration causes the shell to emit a lot of noise. Gamesir has a downloadable app called Nexus that allows remapping, deadzone changes, and light brightness changes. You can create up to 4 profiles here than can be switched later using button configurations shown in the manual. Overall, this is a responsive controller with a quality hall stick. It is lightweight, ergonomic, and easy to map. I specifically love this controller for my kids because it is simple, wired, and robust.

I was looking for a new Xbox controller after both of my OEM Xbox controllers developed horrible stick drift. One was a barely used newer controller that suddenly became completely unusable and unfixable. I already use a hall effect controller on another device, so I figured I'd give this GameSir T7 Pro for Xbox a try. I am hopeful the T7's hall effect sticks will be more resistant to that far too common problem. The T7 Pro ships with a 10-foot USB-C to USB-A removable nylon cable but doesn't include any swappable sticks or D-pads. The controller feels well constructed and is lighter than my OEM controller due to the lack of internal batteries. The translucent green shell is accented with internal white lighting and, along with the green/black cable, matches the Xbox color scheme. The buttons, sticks and switches are nearly identical to my standard OEM controller with a few exceptions. The T7 sports a more traditional cross style D-pad, the 3.5mm audio jack placement is slightly different on the front, there are two additional buttons embedded on the bottom under the grips (L4 and R4), and there are two trigger gear switches on the bottom. The T7 Pro can be managed through the GameSir Nexus companion app. The app can be downloaded from the Windows Store or the GameSir product website. I downloaded from the windows store because when I tried to use the GameSir website download link, my antivirus software halted the connection and advised it was an unsafe site. It assumed it was likely a false positive, but I prefer to play it safe, so I decided to use the Windows Store version. The app provides four sperate profiles and allows updating firmware, mapping controls and tweaking other controller features. The current white lighting isn't customizable beyond brightness at the moment but the app indicates animations are coming soon. The controller's ergonomics are comfortable and it feels as natural in-hand as my OEM controllers. I haven't had any issues with my grip slipping on the textured surface and the bottom buttons are in a location where my middle finger needs to deliberately press them to activate. The bottom buttons ship unmapped by default but even after mapping, I haven't encountered any unintended button presses due to the typical placement of my middle fingers on the controller. Switches and stick controls are accurate and have appropriate responsiveness with no latency or stick drift. I get good accuracy, reliable targeting, and quick response whether aiming in shooters or taking hairpin curves at high speed in racing games. The trigger gear switches also work well for shortening trigger stop distance when needed. Vibration initially felt a little underwhelming compared to my other controllers. Fortunately, it is one of the customizable options in the companion app and the intensity can be increased from the default. As far as cons, the stiff lengthy cable can be clumsy at times depending on gaming environment. The cable is suitably long for gaming at a distance on wall mounted displays or displays situated further away. Unfortunately, the biggest drawback for me with tethered controllers has always been accidents. I already had one mishap when I quickly stood up without realizing the long cable had snaked its way around the front of my foot. I accidentally ripped the cord out of the console and sent the controller crashing to the hardwood floor. Luckily, both the console and controller survived the incident unscathed. So, the T7 ticks the checkbox for durability because it was a hard fall and there wasn't scratch on the controller. I'm also still a bit curious about the antivirus warning that I received when I tried to download the companion software from the GameSir website. Even if it is a false positive or a simple site misconfiguration, having AV software warning a site is dangerous is never a good look. Other than those two issues, I haven't found any other major cons.

This Xbox controller by GameSir is responsive and functional, though not without a few flaws. It features a translucent green design with ambient LED lighting, giving it a distinctive look. The layout includes all the standard Xbox buttons, plus two additional buttons on the front and two extra buttons underneath. It’s also equipped with Hall effect triggers and sticks, which is a great addition for durability and precision. The triggers include two-stage stoppers that work very well, and while the textured grip helps, the plastic finish still feels a bit slippery. Setup is as simple as it gets, just plug in the included 10-foot USB-C to USB-A cable to your Xbox or PC, and you’re ready to go. The cable length is generous, and the braided black-and-green design matches the Xbox theme nicely. That said, I would have preferred a more flexible cable. Performance wise, the controller is accurate, responsive, and comfortable to hold. It’s slightly smaller than a standard Xbox controller. The A, B, X, and Y buttons feel a bit stiff but are still responsive. The additional underside buttons are easy to reach for quick actions, although they can be accidentally pressed at times. Fortunately, they come unassigned by default. One of the standout features is the level of customization. Using the GameSir Nexus software on PC, you can remap buttons, adjust trigger sensitivity, control vibration, and customize the lighting. This is the kind of flexibility you usually find in more premium controllers, making it a great value for the price. However, the D-pad and thumbsticks are not interchangeable. Overall, this controller doesn’t feel premium, but it delivers solid performance where it matters most. It’s accurate, responsive, and offers impressive digital customization. The wired connection eliminates input lag concerns, and with a 10-foot cable, you still have plenty of room to play comfortably. In the box, you get the controller, a 10-foot USB-C to USB-A cable, a sticker, a Game Pass Ultimate code (for new accounts only), and a manual.

I’m gonna keep this short, and sweet. Long story short, this controller is quite good! The thumbsticks feel nice, the lighting is basic but in a good way. You can lower it for gaming in the dark or turn it off all together. The wire is kind of a bummer, but not a deal breaker! The back buttons aren’t in the way like some other controllers. But it does feel cheap. It’s extremely light which bums me out and the buttons are a little hollow… it’s hard to describe. It feels like it doesn’t press, but it does. I guess it just doesn’t give me enough feedback. It’s not bad at all, like it’s a “C” if I were to grade it. Good enough, but not ideal for certain situations like fighting games. It feels cheap I would say. The D-Pad is kind of the same way. It works and for me if I go too hard on fighting games, it does hurt my thumb a little bit. I wish the D-Pad was more like the Xbox controller. The ergonomics of the controller reminds me of the Xbox One controller or Xbox Series controller and the Stadia controller a little bit. Meaning it is fine for me and the texture is thoughtfully placed. The grip, the bumper, and the trigger. There’s also a little bit of texture on the thumbsticks. Lastly the software, it’s good enough. I was able to do exactly what I needed to do. It is annoying that Gamesir has multiple apps for different controllers. I don’t know why that is, but I downloaded the wrong one at first. This could have been avoided if I read the instructions or the box, but at the same time it’s a controller. I feel like it should be fairly intuitive. I’m gonna give this controller 4 out of 5 stars mainly because the build quality doesn’t scream quality, but at the price it’s not unreasonable. The software situation is a little weird having two apps. And sometimes it’ll pop up Chinese characters despite it being set to English. The buttons and the d-pad also feel less than ideal, but again for the price it’s honestly a good controller! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good anti-drift controller!

The gamesir G7 Pro Wired is a good, familiar- feeling controller. It works with Xbox and PC, and allows customization via its app. The controller lights up (I have the green version), delivering a bit of pro feel to it. The joystick edges are textured a d therefore, grippy for the sweaty hands.), although the handles are smooth and not textured. The trigger buttons are adjustable with the manual switch behind the controller, allowing for a much shorter trigger pull. There are also two additional buttons behind the controller. The big selling point to this controller is you never really have to worry about stick drift, because the hall-effect is using magnets and proximity instead of potentiometers and so forth. This allows the controller to be handled much longer and rougher than a standard (non hall-effect) controller. I have no big complaints about this controller. The cord is also about 10ft long or so. I do really like that it came with 1 free month of Xbox gamepass ultimate. Overall, I recommend it, especially at the very affordable price point.

This controller immediately gives off original Xbox vibes with its green color scheme, and that nostalgia works in its favor. The overall shape sticks close to the modern controller shapes, which keeps it familiar and comfortable—especially for medium sized hands. The stick and button layout is easy to reach, and the textured stick rims add a secure grip. Stick clicks register cleanly. The face buttons have satisfying travel with a slightly clacky sound that isn’t overly loud. The cross shaped D pad feels more precise than a disc-style design. Shoulder buttons are well placed with a nice texture, and the triggers have deep, springy travel. You can shorten that travel with a two stage switch for faster inputs, and there are extra remappable buttons on the underside. The 3.5mm jack works without issue. The RGB lighting is bright—too bright in a dark room—and the diffusion is uneven. Fortunately, you can turn it off if you prefer a cleaner look. Performance is where this controller really shines. The hall effect sticks feel exceptionally smooth and responsive, which is noticeable in fast, competitive games. While the face buttons aren’t mechanical or hall effect, they still perform reliably. The hall effect triggers offer precise control, which is especially useful in racing games where subtle pressure matters. The D pad is accurate and avoids accidental diagonals in fighters and side scrollers. Aside from being wired—though the cable is generously long—there’s little to complain about. In fact, the low latency gives it an edge over many wireless options. If you want a budget friendly controller or simply prefer a wired setup, the GameSir T7 is absolutely worth considering.

Unboxing was pretty simple. Removed the stick foam pads and plugged in the USB a to C braided cable. It was a nice 10’ length considering it is a wired controller. Then I connected it to my Xbox and it worked instantly. There is a nice green translucent glow that comes from the controller that is nice but not too much. In game play I found the feedback to seem just as responsive as the newer first party controllers. When playing Fortnite I found the buttons handled building without feeling like the sticks were going to snap off. Everything was accurate and could keep up. When playing Forza I found the controls worked well and I did not have any drift that I noticed which was nice. I did play with the adjustable trigger and while it worked I did not find it game me any better game play for what I play on Xbox. I could see it being useful for COD if I played something that would benefit from a tighter control on the trigger and speed. I like the feel of the controller and performance for the money and the fact that I can connect it from my console to my PC makes it versatile without needing batteries. That makes this really good since the wireless can chew through batteries. I know you can reprogram the back buttons but I did not find any good uses for it but again depending on the game it surely is a nice to have.

I haven't heard of GameSir, but always keen to try out new wired controllers. The GameSir T7 Pro Controller is a wired Xbox/Windows Game controller that is a translucent green color. My Dad said this controller reminded him of his original Xbox! In the box: GameSir T7 Pro Wired Controller 10 ft braided cable USB A to USB C cable Instructions/Gamesir Sticker XBox GamePass Ultimate 1 Month Trial First thoughts the controller seems a little smaller than what I am use to, just fractionally. The T7 Pro is all hard touch plastic, no soft touch anywhere. There are adjustable trigger stops, a headphone jack, and the buttons are hall effect. There are also customizable back paddles (more on that later). There is also a M button, which is for onboard memory. The XYAN keys are colored appropriately but the colors do feel a little washed out. As a wired controller, the GameSir T7 Pro is plug and play on your Xbox and Windows PC. You'll immediately notice it's all backlit and pretty much glows like the images you see online. I have tested on both and was keen to see how the memory controls worked, and found the GameSir Nexus app - but it comes from the oddly named Guangzhou Chicken Run Network Technology Ltd. I'm telling you this because I wasn't sure, based on the name, if that was the official app - but it seems it is! (see screenshots if you don't believe me!). The GameSir T7 supports up to 4 profiles, and you can customize EVERYTHING in the app - trigger and stick deadzones, vibration, and the lighting. I'm still getting the hang of deadzone mapping to improve responsiveness - and not be too trigger happy playing CoD. The level of flexibility is pretty impressive for a new brand and beats some of the features on more established offerings. If there's some caveats, while there is dedicated left/right vibration, the right felt just a little softer too me. I wish there was some soft touch plastic on the grips, in extended game play (and I don't sweat a lot) the controller wasn't as grippy even with the textured grip. I also wish GameSir just had a universal app - there's actually multiple versions of the app based on your controller. That all said, this is a fun controller, the retro green vibe made my Dad happy, and to get Hall Effect support in this budget range is pretty good.

Feels really good in game and in hand. Only things I’d take away that could be negative are it feels a little smaller than a Xbox controller, more like a PlayStation controller (not that crazy) and I dropped it and the joysticks pop off but no issues there cause you just snap them back in.

Overall a good controller especially for the price. sticks feel good and I enjoy having the extra paddles. Only reason I gave this controller 4 stars and not 5 is that the software used to tune it isn’t very intuitive on Xbox and it’s a little smaller in my hands than standard Xbox controller

One thing I didn't like about the PlayStation 5 controller was its size. What I didn't like about the new Xbox controller was that it felt kinda like sandpaper. This controller is the perfect size. It doesn't feel like sandpaper on my hands. I absolutely love the floral design. The lights are fascinating. The analog sticks have moving lights and the buttons and trigger have lights that flicker on press. Two programmable back buttons work flawlessly. What I like about the wired feature is that it doesnt randomly disconnect while you are playing.
