I purchased this GPS for my upcoming move to California from Pennsylvania. The GPS is very easy to use and the screen is more than enough for easy viewing. One feature that really persuaded me to purchase the product was the lifetime map updates. Other companies like Ford require you to pay $150 to update their navigation system, which is a complete rip off. The user interface of the GPS is simple to use and the touch screen is quite responsive. I would certainly recommend this to anyone thinking of purchasing a GPS for long trips.

I worked out of state for a few months and was using my phone for getting around. It got to be too complicated between answering calls, emails, and texts to sometimes get the navigation going. I bought this Garmin specifically for its size of the screen because I was able to easily pack it in my laptop bag when I flew. As far as use, it was easy to use and it was pretty accurate for giving you the best route even with detours. Since I had been in a specific area for some time I started to become familiar with it and when I used the GPS it would want me to take a different route that I knew would take longer. It was a challenge to get it to reroute and if I just drove the way I knew it would want me to turn around or continue to push me to use the route it provided. The features for food, gas, etc are a nice touch. I used these quite a bit on my drives mostly because it was so easy to find a place to eat or get gas in the middle of nowhere and add it to the route. At the end of the day it got me to where I needed to go without having to use my phone.

We were sad when our old Garmin finally stopped working. I thought about just getting it repaired but we were on a road trip and needed a GPS. So, we bought a new Garmin. Not the most expensive one, but a larger screen and what we thought would be similar features. Well, I am so glad we purchased this new one. It is so much easier to use , more features, and definitely more user friendly. It was a nice surprise for the price. We don't travel without our Garmin.

It works really well and the big display helps when driving. I had a small issue finding one place with it but everything else was spot on. The biggest thing I don’t like is doing the first update and how it teies to do the same update over and over and over again. I had to restart it 4 times before it recognized the update had been done.

I upgraded from a nuvi 40LM. The six inch screen makes all the difference in the world. I am a Garmin fan and this unit does not disappoint. Like that it speaks street names. Like that it shows speed and posted speed and goes red when you exceed posted speed limit. It also gives you a heads up when a speed limit change is coming up. It was great that, using Garmin express, I was able to transfer all my favorites from one device to another. Saved me a lot of time. Updating maps is a breeze with Express. Very simple and intuitive.

This product is fantastic! I deliberately bought the larger screen and I wasn't disappointed. It has clear graphics and the voice isn't constant like on others. It's also more precise than your cell phone without losing the internet. A must have if you do a lot of traveling!

Ever since I moved to Tucson I have used a GPS, did not grow up in a big city. I love the big screen and the various warnings (upcoming school zones, upcoming speed zones). I also travel for business and take it along and it makes travels to unknown locations very eary.

I use this Garmin instead of the GPS that is built into my 2017 Lexus: much easier to use and much better directions. The screen is clear and easy to read. Using landmarks as part of the turn-by-turn directions is great. Why isn't there a Garmin in every car?

Nice Big screen easy to use. I like the fact it has a life time map up date.no trouble as of yet 4 days old. I bring it in side every night to say it stays charged and warm. I am on call for the Red Cross. to go to Disasters. .

Bought this for my son & daughter in law so they can travel across the country and not use their cell phone data. They loved it, it was easy to operate and gave excellent directions. Big screen is a huge bonus!

Purchased this to replace a nuvi 255w. The 6 inch screen and lane guidance alone was worth the upgrade. Honestly everything about it seems improved from the older model. Well done Garmin!

Bought this for my father-in-law for his new car and he loves it. This GPS was easy to setup, easy to use and the larger size makes it easy to see. He loves it!

Much better interface than an older TomTom or the one in a Mazda. Still learning the many options. In general got me around a 1,000 mil trip OK. Still trying to decide if the issues were partly my lack of experience. The maps even had forest roads within a national forest. Very useful to get to a campsite. When I left the campsite to go home it wanted to route me through miles of narrow gravel forest roads rather than backtrack two miles to the major highway i entered from when coming from other direction. Perhaps it computed a few miles or minutes saving, but not worth the hassle. I just backtracked to the highway and then it routed me to home OK. Mounting this large unit on the windshield with the suction cup not really useful. Temporarily rigged up a better location so I could more easily see the unit and use the buttons. Perhaps the Garmin beanbag type mount would work. Downloading the Garmin Express program to my computer and updating the unit was straightforward.

Works as advertised. Pricey but not the worst one out there. Would have preferred to get it on sale but need was immediate.

Worked well and finds sattalite signal quickly. Adding address locations is easy and it knows the likely addresses you are looking for and lists the possible local streets to help make your address selection easier to add to the address memory. It performed well in congested city streets as well as in open area scenic country routes. I wish I had opted for the Bluetooth version of this GPS, it would make the audible voice directions easier to hear. Audible voice is pleasant. Overall, this GPS is worth the sale price cost and adds some peace of mind to finding your way in first time traveled routes and unfamiliar city streets. It also recognizes immediately if you are about to turn in the wrong direction onto a one way street. This was a helpful feature I had not known it was capable of. It certainly helped me on several occasions- a nice safety feature that can keep you out of a highly dangerous situation.

this is a reliable easy to use GPS. The screen should be brighter as in a Hond Civic at full bright we have difficulty. The second fault, and this is true of the Garmin we have in another car. is that the upgrades are not at all current. Roads and school in our hometown are 3 to 4 years out of date, By that I mean they are not there, Magellen does a much better job of currency..

Old Garmin was 18 years old. New Garmin has a larger screen, Larger print and up-to-date with automatic updating. Love it!
