We replaced our Garmin 3597 in order to get the larger screen and some of the great new features. We thought for an extra $30 we should add the Alexa feature too, as we were planning a long road-trip. Although we had not used Alexa, and had not used the Garmin for anything except routing, on our first day out we went through 2 GB data with our cell carrier, and then went though the $15 fee for 1 extra GB data in less than another day, and when we hit the 4th overage fee in 3 days, we disconnected the Garmin Bluetooth and shut down our smartphones until we could get info from the carrier. Unknown to us, the Garmin was accessing both my husband and my phones and iPads and just gobbling up data! Now we have the Garmin Bluetooth disabled so we don't have access to the Alexa or smartphone features, and that is unfortunate. We do really like the other new features, so it is still a very good upgrade, and perhaps the Bluetooth features will work for around town trips.

This thing is fantastic. I love the large screen size as I have some trouble trying to see these while driving and looking for upcoming streets/ roads on other units I have owned. Not a problem with this one. It's very easy to see and read, day or night. Somehow on more than one occasion, the GPS told me how far it is and how long it will take to get where I'm going and also traffic reports without me even telling it where I was going. It's just a little bit freaky to see it do that but that's okay. This is definitely an excellent GPS, by far the best I have ever owned; and I have had several of them.

Excellent Navigator. The voice recognition for Garmin and Alexa is spot on. The red light camera warning is good. Screen size and resolution are great. The option to add a back-up camera is very welcome. Price is totally worth it.

My current Garmin GPS is 6 yrs old and I was making plans to do more traveling. I decided to upgrade to the Garmin Drive 65, glad I did. The first major improvement was the voice. The old unit I had sounded more digitalized. It was refreshing to hear a natural human voice on the 65. I also have live traffic on this and it worked perfectly when I drove 600 miles to Cleveland Oh. My time of arrival was spot on even when it added another hour to my trip because of road construction. It's easier to read and I made far less mistakes because of the clarity in giving driving commands and visuals. I highly recommend it for those whose travel from out of state or just locally.

I recently purchased this GPS Unit for work use. It has numerous features that work great with my iPhone, and the Bluetooth in my vehicle. I’m not very impressed with the factory windshield mount though. It does not hold well at all. I had to buy a separate mount to continue using the unit. **Also be aware of the WiFi updates for this unit. It has a large download that can crash the entire unit if the update doesn’t complete successfully.** Make sure to connect to a high speed and reliable network before trying the updates.

The big screen is a big plus for me and it accommodates for night driving. Gave to daughter so she wouldn't have to use her phone for such long hours and it was easier to attach to her dash. She loved being able to adjust for stops and keep track of her time. Havent used the Alexa feature yet but I'm sure it will be just as useful. Now that she will be traveling a lot more.

I did a lot of research on garmin navigation products and other brands as well. I recently purchased an SUV that didn’t have navigation, so I wanted to find something portable that I could easily remove when I decided to upgrade my car again. I will say I’m very impressed with this navigator. The screen size is perfect. The voice command is great. I really like that you can used an app to queue up your navigator before you start driving. I would definitely recommend this for folks that don’t want to use their phones as a map. I prefer having a separate device be my navigator and let my phone be my phone. I also love that the maps are updated for a lifetime!

This is my third Garmin GPS. Bought this two weeks after it was released. Love the larger screen. Easier to see while driving and speaks more accurate instructions than my last model. Not much you can do to personalize this unit such as icons for you vehicle or destinations, nor can you change voice. She is “Alexa”. Ask Garmin to get you there. Ask Alexa everything else. You can absolutely play your Amazon music through your Bluetooth radio and I believe there is a 3.5mm jack for audio input as well. So far, I have no regrets. Is a bit larger than last model so hiding it takes a bit longer.

The Garmin DriveSmart 65 is perfect for my vehicle! The large screen is easy to see and the Garmin quality I've come to expect is evident every time I turn it on. Using Garmin Express, updating was a breeze. Garmin Connect makes using this GPS simple and easy. The Alexa feature only adds to an already great experience. I love my DriveSmart 65!

My wife's Garmin was a number of years old and I wanted to replace it with another one that did voice commands and turn by turn instructions. We have Echo devices in our home and love them. Have the Amazon Extended Music subscription and there is no song we have not found available yet. So this looked like a real solution to the problem with a bonus. Amazon music setup was terrific and recognition was great. However, was unable to get the Garmin to take voice commands or get turn by turn directions. Bummer, right? Wife loved the music so much she decided to keep it. Well, I did some research and learned that you control the Garmin by voice through the Alexa command. Also, learned there is a turn by turn enable embedded deep in the menu. Made those adjustments and she is in GPS/Music Valhalla. Truly a great unit. Easy to read screen. Bright and very visible. Great voice recognition. I liked it so much went out and bought one for my car as well. Highly recommended.

I used to have older version with smaller screen. It has become quite outdated with features so upgraded to this one. Compared to my car's integrated navigation system, this Garmin is much faster in typing in the destination, much easier to navigate, and really user friendly. With this Garmin, it makes an expensive car navigation system not cost effective at all.

Excellent GPS. warns of accidents, Speed traps. Voice activated. Alexa enabled. expandable memory. Be sure to get extended geek squad warranty as this is car device and environment is hard on electronics. Lifetime maps pays for itself when compaired to your cars subscription NAV.

Great but it works fantastic. Make sure you update the maps or you won’t be getting the best routes that’s you could get. It easy to install. Informative with “H” history channel information about places you are driving by. Many data information details. Great information if you are a geek or even just a simple person you can not love this piece of equipment perfect for short or long trips.

Love this GPS, I us it regularly while driving my vehicle. Large display and Alexa enabled. I have it mounted on the windshield, so that I can keep my eyes on the road. The blue tooth syncs with my phone, which displays my news flashes on the right side of the screen of the large display. I would recommend this GPS for travelers. For power, it comes with a cigarette lighter adaptor, with a usb plug on the back, which can be used for your cell phone.
