About this product
Written and recorded in Spring 2011 at Andy's grandmother's Chicago-area house while she was away on vacation, Gauntlet Hair is a subtle refinement of the sounds we've come to associate with the band The trunk-rattling bass; the ecstatic, tinny post-punk guitar; the din of ecstasy. But what was once simply jarring in it's audacity is now also bursting with new colors. While the band continues to mine the pulse-and-clap cues of modern club rap, the intricacies of Andy's Durutti Column-inspired, circular guitar lines come a bit more to the fore on Gauntlet Hair. Album Tracks 1. Keep Time 2. Top Bunk 3. Mop It Up 4. My Christ 5. Lights Out 6. Showing 7. Overkill 8. That's Your Call 9. Shout in Tongues

For all the dark tones pulsing through Gauntlet Hair's 2013 album Stills, there is also a guileless affection for the goth industrialists and post-punks who blazed a shadowy path through the 80s and 90s. Recorded during Portland, Oregon's grey winter days in producer Jacob Portrait's (Unknown Mortal Orchestra) appropriately named studio the Cave, Stills is a modern salute to Trent Reznor and his cohort's arena-ready post-apocalyptica. Album Tracks 1. Human Nature 2. Spew 3. Simple 4. Bad Apple 5. New to It 6. Obey Me 7. Heave 8. G.I.D 9. Falling Out 10. Waste Your Art

Pure 60's meets 90's power pop. Great vocals, hooks and harmonies with enough edge to give it a bite. With the right promotion, this record would be triple platinum. If you can't sing along with this after you've heard it just once, you can't sing. Album Tracks 1. Reach Out 2. Little Piece of Heaven 3. Runaround (Got to Tell Me) 4. Mary Jane 5. One Love 6. All It Takes 7. (Oh Yeah) Action Tonite 8. Frustrated Again 9. Kiss and Tell 10. Feeling of Love 11. Hello, It's Me 12. Wiggle and a Wink 13. Alright 14. A Hard Day's Night
