This microwave was an upgrade from a dead unit from 1996 (they still made stuff to last back then). It is less than a third of the weight of our previous one, but still takes up about the same space. I already like the fact that we get more even heating of food, popcorn stops automatically with no burning and very few non-popped kernels. Given how light it is, it can be easily slid on the countertop, which might be troublesome for some locations. Ours is back in a corner on the counter, so that isn't an issue. I would say that the controls on the black/stainless unit are a little hard to read and they are not backlit. This can make seeing the words on the buttons a little harder. Overall, this was a great value.

Overall, the microwave works quite well. Food doesn’t come out scorching hot as our last one did which is nice. It’s powerful but not overkill. Popcorn using the built in sensor alway comes out perfect and not burnt. The only two caveats are the door won’t open unless you hit the cancel or pause button which takes some getting used to. I’m detracting one star for that funky user experience. May be safer for children but we never had an issue with raising 4 kids. Secondly, this is more of a preference, but the light green readout is a bit dim and contrasts with the other appliances that have a blue tone. Great microwave! Just be prepared to hit an additional button before pushing the door open button!

This microwave just fit in the custom made cabinet that held an older Kitchen Aid microwave. It looks fantastic and works perfectly. I would highly recommend this microwave

This 1150 watt microwave is preforming well. The features on it are great and setting the power level for defrosting is a snap.

my old microwave broke down right before thanksgiving it was a 1800 watt tried to find one just as powerful with no luck without going commercial which was not in the budget also wanted one that was the right size for what we wanted to cook in it and fit the spot we had to put it this one fit that spot and cooks just as good as the old one did with less wattage and has more features than the old one

No complaints. Works great. Powerful and accommodating for entire plates or containers of restaurant leftovers. Looks good with both my stainless and black appliances. Door lock feature is nice to keep the kids from grabbing hot items from the microwave.

We are very happy with the performance of the microwave. We appreciate the brightness of the interior light.

Works amazing, reheats up food instantly. Quiet, efficient, and powerful! Does not get stains quickly on the outside and very easy to clean on the inside. Also has a locking method so if it’s in a place where little kids can access/reach they can’t open it until it’s unlocked. Instruction manual explains everything this microwave is equipped with

I had this same microwave for years until it finally gave out so I bought the same model again. I like all the choices like defrost, potatoes, popcorn, reheat, etc.

Purchased on Aug 21 2025, by April 5 2026 it stopped heating food and started heating up the metal facade. So the button to open the microwave was so hot to touch. I had a prior GE one that also packed up within two years and this was the replacement. Very poor performing microwaves from GE . It’s sad. Best Buy cannot even help to send it back I have to do it myself through the manufacturer. I’m preparing for horrors ahead. Sigh.

Just got this yesterday. So far only complaint is the feet are very cheap and hard plastic. They allow the microwave to slide very easy all over the counter. To me it’s a big deal, as you cannot even push the door button unless it is pushed up against the wall to keep it from sliding. Thankfully I was able to 3D print some soft griping replacement feet (TPU) that firmly hold it in place on the counter now.

Heats even and fast at 1150 watts. Love the various settings. Large capacity on the inside, enabling you to heat large amounts when needed. So far so good. The true test will be it’s longevity.

The microwave pretty much does everything that you want a microwave to do?

The microwave gets extremely hot and the condensation from the heat shows through the glass.

Great product and service at home with great price

Microwave is fine enough, but this was "open box excellent" and is banged up something fierce. Best buy wouldn't do anything about it and gave me the option to ship it back or keep it. Closest drop off location for return was 55 miles away. Lame.
