Q: What size are the nuggets of ice, approximately

Q: Does the ice storage compartment keep the ice frozen or does it melt gradually?
A: Hi - We appreciate your interest in this great freestanding GE nugget ice maker. These ice makers do not cool the ice compartment like a refrigerator or freezer. The temperature of the bin relies on the ice made to stay cool. The design intent is that the unit makes ice and that ice continuously melts. We hope you choose our GE ice maker for your home. Q: Can purified water (reverse osmosis) be hooked to this if the pressure is 40+ psi?
A: Hi - According to the Installation Instructions for the icemaker, yes. This machine can be supplied with Reverse Osmosis water, but the water conductivity must be no less than 10 microSiemens/cm. A reverse osmosis system should include post treatment or blending to satisfy the R.O. water's potential aggressiveness.We do hope this model will work for you. All our best! Vikki@GEA
Q: does the door come with the machine? and is there a handle?
A: The ice machine comes with an unfinished door and no handle. This model requires a custom panel for the door and you supply your own handle. My cabinet maker is making a panel so the ice machine will blend in with the rest of the cabinetry and I purchased a handle to match the other hardware in the kitchen.
