    • Drying Method: Condenser drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

A: Hi Ben - Thanks for considering GE® 18" Portable Dishwasher GPT145SSLSS! The dishwasher door extends 25 1/4" when open. We suggest viewing the Specification document at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=GPT145SSL_19.pdf - Portable fill and drain hoses will extend out 35" from the left rear top corner of the dishwasher as you face the dishwasher. Q: 1. Does this model have the delayed start feature? AND 2. The settings/program buttons appear to be built into the top of the door, are they illuminated so can see wash details once the door is closed looking at the machine?

A: Hi Jjjeff - This dishwasher has a Delay Start 1-12 Hour option. Also, this model has hidden controls (controls located on top of door) and not visible when the door is closed. The cycle must be selected with the door in the open position. The cycle will not start until the Start pad is pushed and the door is closed within 4 seconds. To interrupt or pause a cycle, slowly open the door. Opening the door will cause the wash cycle to pause. The dishwasher will beep every minute to remind you to close the door. To restart or resume the cycle, press Start, and close the door within 4 seconds. An audible End-of-Cycle Signal lets you know when the cycle is complete. Thanks for your interest! Sue

I bought this 18” GE dishwasher and it is perfect for the room. The first GE dishwasher I bought was 24” GE first but I was just too big & heavy so I sold it and got the same dishwasher. It cleans the dishes perfectly, so quiet that you don’t know it’s running and it is so easy to move around to connect & disconnect!! Would recommend to anyone needing a dishwasher!

    Good little dishwasher

Extending the hose was difficult when first used. There was a kink (bend) in the return water hose as I pulled it out to attach to the faucet. When I put the hose back in, it was difficult to do and the kink returned. My concern is how many times will the hard rubber bend in the same place before it cracks and leaks. The space between dishes on the lower rack also seems narrow compared to other compact dishwashers I've had. Several of the tines have bent inside the rack because of the curvature of the plates.

    My GE portable dishwasher

This was the BEST thing I ever bought for myself. Easy to hook up, and dishwasher moves very easy across my floor and does an excellent job washing my dishes. I suffer with a bad back and had a hard time doing dishes by hand. It's small yet big enough for myself and even a few more extra dishes.
