A: Thank you for reaching out to us! This hood uses incandescent lighting which produces heat when powered. This heat can be absorbed by the metal/stainless portion of the hood; however, the heat will depend on how long the light is left on. GE Convertible Range Hood
I love the look and how it works, but I can't open the lightbulb latch area to change the bulb. Followed the instructions several times and it doesn't open.
