Q: I need to replace a 27" drop in electric range, GE #JM750R2 What do you recommend?

A: Hello and thank you for looking at our model. The new Spacemaker 27" drop-in ranges will require 2 3/8" be removed from the base panel if replacing an old 27" standard or continuous clean model. Hope this helps you out. Geoff@GEA

Q: We currently have a GE 27" drop-in range. I'm not sure of the model number but the installation book we have shows models JMS08GR, JMS10GR, JMP28GR, JMP29GR, MP31WR, JMP32AR. It was purchased and installed in October 1994. Will this range be the same?

A: Hello there - It's difficult to compare this model and your current model without the full model number. The model number of your drop-in range can be located in several different places: behind the front door (on the front frame); under the left front surface unit (electric coil only); centered or on the right side, under the cooktop (life-up styles); on the left leg behind the drawer or kick panel; on the front frame, inside the drawer. Once you locate that, please connect with us directly via email on our website or by calling 1-800-626-2005 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET or 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET on Saturdays (we're closed on Sunday) and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have. We look forward to speaking with you! Best, Kelsey@GEA

Q: Would this model replace my GE JMS27001HA?

A: Hi - While this is the closest potential replacement we offer today, you will likely need to make adjustments to your cabinet opening for proper installation. We would encourage you to measure your existing opening to determine what specific changes might be necessary. Thank you for your interest in a new GE drop-in style range. Vikki@GEA

Q: This 27 inch wide range is the only alternative that will work for me. I'm told that production is on hold. Hopefully the product has not been discontinued. Can you comment on outlook for future manufacturing as I have no alternative. Thanks.

A: Hey there, and thank you for your interest in this drop-in electric range. We certainly understand if this range is the best fit for you, and are glad to advise it has not been discontinued at this time. Production on this model has been recently ongoing; if if is not currently available in your area we do regret any inconvenience that causes, but it should only be a temporary issue. If you check with dealers in your area you may be able to ask about local availability, and if you have further inquiries or need assistance you are always welcome to reach out to us here or over social media - we're glad to help! All the best -Sarah@GEA

Q: is this stove available with a glass top cooking surface?

A: Hello- We appreciate your interest in our 27" Self-Cleaning Drop-In Electric Range. We don't have this model with a radiant range, but we do have a 30" Drop-In model. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/ge-4-4-cu-ft-self-cleaning-drop-in-electric-range-white/2394111.p?skuId=2394111 If you have any additional questions, please let us know. We are here to help! Joyce@GEA

Q: how is the stove anchored ?

A: Hi there, and thanks for reaching out to us about this electric range. We understand how important the range being anchored and secure is, and are happy to advise. Anti-tip screws secure the range to the countertop. If those cannot be used in your particular situation, an anti-tip support can be mounted to the rear wall of the space the range is being installed in. A certain amount of countertop thickness (1 ½” minimum) is required to support the range and accommodate the ¾” anti-tip screw. Braces may need to be installed between the underside of the countertop and the cabinet to reach the necessary level of thickness for support. Further details are available in the installation instructions. We hope this information is helpful, and are happy to assist further if needed. All the best! -Sarah@GEA

Q: What is the power requirements for the stove. 120V needs how many amps or is it only 220V and how many amps? Thank You.

A: Hey there, and thanks for your interest in this drop-in range! You must use a single-phase, 120/208 VAC or 120/240 VAC, 60 Hertz electrical system. The unit needs to be supplied with the correct voltage and frequency and connected to an individual, properly grounded, 40 amp minimum branch circuit protected by a circuit breaker or time delay fuse. The Amp rating at both 208V and 240V is 40. We would always recommend having the wiring and hookup of your appliance connected only by a qualified electrician. We hope this is enough information for your electrical needs, but if you have any other questions or concerns we are always happy to help over social media. Wishing you the best! -Sarah@GEA

Q: Would this be the correct replacement (same size) for GE JDC27GP3BG?

A: Hey there, and thanks so much for your interest in this drop-in electric range! We understand how important getting the right size is, and are happy to assist. After reviewing your older model, it looks like you have a 30" range. This model is a 27". If 30" is what you're looking for, we can advise we have a 30" electric range under model number JD630DFBB. Please note that does appear to have different overall dimensions than your old unit, so we would recommend checking the installation instructions to see if adjustments would need to be made to your space in order to install, or if another model would be better. Those are available on our GE website if you search for the model number. If you need further information, we are always happy to help over social media as well. Best wishes! -Sarah@GEA
