A: This model has a Cutout Depth of 19-5/8” and a Cutout Width of 28-1/2”. For more information, see the Cutout Dimensions section on page 4 of the Installation Instructions, which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the product page of the Best Buy website.
Q: It says the controls are analog. What does that mean
A: It's a physical knob and dial you have to physically turn to turn on and off and adjust the cooking temps is the best way I can describe it.

Q: What kind of a cooktop protector can I purchase for the glass cooktop with knobs on the side?
A: We have not performed reliability and safety testing on protectors or liners for cooktop surfaces on our ranges and cooktops/rangetops. We are unable to make a recommendation for them.
Q: What is the best spot remover to clean my white smooth top? I mean very deep spots.
A: We recommend using ceramic cooktop cleaner for every day and deep cleaning. Apply a few drops of a ceramic cooktop cleaner directly to the cooktop. Use a paper towel or a non-scratch cleaning pad for ceramic cooktops to clean the entire cooktop surface. Use a dry cloth or paper towel to remove all cleaning residue. Looks nice, but that's about it!
Looks nice, but that's about it! At first, this cooktop looked great, but the problems started after about 90 days. Within 5 months, I’ve had two issues: 1. Hot surface light stuck on – The top right burner’s hot surface sensor is broken. The light stays on even when the burner is cool. The only workaround is placing an ice pack on it for 20 minutes until the light finally shuts off. Annoying, but manageable. 2. Burner stuck on high – The top left large burner recently started staying on high, no matter what setting I choose. This is a serious problem. I’m now waiting for GE to come out and service the cooktop. Overall, it looks good, but the reliability has been very disappointing.

Defect
We bought this new electric cooktop on Nov 2024 from bestbuy.com. Its installation can only scheduled at Thanksgiving Eve. It was more unfortunate that the cooktop is a defect. One of four burners does not work. The technicians said we can use this defect electric cooktop and request a replacement on-line. We are not sure if it is safe to use a defect electric appliance, but we had no choice While waiting for a replacement. We also called Best Buy for scheduling replacement. The available date for re-installment is between 7am-7pm about a week later. We took a whole day off and waited for the technicians till 8:30 pm, there was no technician showed up even gave us a call for an update. Finally, we called Best Buy Rep and were told that no one would come as it was too late. We were asked to request an installation via online again next day. It was disappointing that a new cooktop needs 3 times of installment. The 3rd installation was scheduled more than 2 weeks later. During this period, two of four burners are completely out off work. What a disaster! We had many good experience with GE products as their quality and reliability are generally very good, thus we had purchased many GE appliances without any problems nor defects, even our previous GE cooktop worked well for almost 20 years. But this GE product does meet our expectation. It is so disappointing to have such a experience during holiday season.

Great cooktop
Stovetop fix exactly in the place of my old one. Install was easy and instructions were easy to follow. Burners heat up quickly with even heating. Overall a great cooktop for the money
