Broke 2 Times in a Row. Poor Geek Squad Service.
The fuse for the infinite switch broke two times on two separate models. First cooktop: Switch broke after 6 moths and tripped the circuit. Second cooktop: Literal sparks flew inside the glass near the switch. Tripped the circuit breaker. Electrician tested the lines and circuit breaker after disconnecting cooktop, circuit breaker works fine. When reconnecting to the cooktop, trips the circuit. I have a 5 year Geek Squad Protection Plan. Geek Squad is refusing to do anything about this even though the plan activates DAY OF PURCHASE. They want me to contact GE. If both GSP and 1 Year Manufacturer Warranty run concurrently, why does the customer need to waste their time and coordinate between 2 entities?
