We bought the 3.8 Cu. ft. version of this machine in 2007, estimate close to 3,600 loads. We replaced it with this machine, similar but larger with more features. If used correctly, meaning, not washing one towel or small rug, not over loading, not under loading, the machine should work flawlessly. We are a family of 4. Handles 6-8 pairs of jeans, no problem. No vibration issues at all. Have tested all settings, usually on "normal" soil, clothes come out clean. The settings / cycles have 2 rinse cycles. I use "tub clean" once every two months. Considering warranty, past experience, size, features, price and low cost replacements parts (probably will never need) helped me to make my decision to purchase this machine.

I love this washing machine. It make little to no noise, leaves my clothes super clean. It’s easy to use and install. It’s bigger than the one I previously owned, so I cam even wash my queen comforter.

The washer looks nice, it has lots of features, it has a great capacity, almost no vibration when washing or spinning, and power consumption is lower than other washers. The only drawback, the motor is very noisy.

We received the washer and matching dryer. Very niuce machines but the washer sounded like a jet engine when spinning - even with the door closed you could hear it. All washers are noisy when spinning but this was noticeable for sure. If the laundry room was out of the way then I receommend this as it has greaty features.

Hello petehack, thank you for your review. We are sincerely sorry you have not been pleased with the craftsmanship of your washer. We truly understand how that would be frustrating. Please know that this is not the ownership experience we strive for. We have passed your comments along to our washer design and development team for future improvements. -Chris@GEA <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/GE_Appliances.jpg" alt="GE_Appliances" title="GE_Appliances" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;"/>

This washer is great, ease of use, relatively quiet (if balanced properly in installation) and spins clothes to near dry!

I’ve only had this washer for about a month and it was quite a change from my 19 year old washer that I had been using. So far everything seems to be great. This tub is taking some getting used to as it is so much larger than my old one. I do a lot if smaller loads so the tub seems over whelming when I put the clothes in. There is more selections for size water type , spin cycle than my old machine. I hope that the future will be as successful as the past month with this washer.

The washer looks nice and the door is not heavy. I like all of the different options and we have tried them all. The steam is our favorite and it works so great at pulling all the oils from our clothes. The one thing that we hate is that it takes so very very long to wash a load of clothes! There is a quick wash feature but that is still even long. The washer is still a good purchase and my young sons can even operate it.

Front loading machines certainly have improved in the last 10 years. I bought this set when we moved to TN last year after leaving behind our 10 year old set. I like front loaders because I can wash bedding in it. But the older set had an issue with water left standing under the rubber seal. If I forgot to dry it after use, it would get a musty/mildew smell. But this model has tiny drain holes that empty it out every time! No more draining needed. Also, if you use the bulk setting for towels or blankets, this machine spins them nearly dry! It sounds like an airplane propeller when taking off, the way it spins so hard. But it is worth it! But no worries...Gentle cycle will gently spin your delicate clothing.

This is an excellent washer from small light loads to large heavy items. The washing options met and exceeded my expectations. Easy to use and clean.

It’s a straightforward washer with lots of preset options that make it super easy to choose a specific wash. I like the grey and it’s got a catchy jingle when it finishes a wash.

Has a nice large capacity drum but a little loud on the spin. Louder than my last washer. Sounds like an airplane taking off. I would still recommend it. Has a lot of great features.

We replaced a nearly 10-year-old GE washer that couldn’t get through a single load without bouncing all over the place during a spin cycle. Nothing phases this washer. It might take a few minutes to balance a heavy load, but it does every time. And, of course, it washes well and the steam is a great feature when needed. Only compliant is the max volume for the reminder sounds could be louder (hard to hear from the other side of the house). Very polished, well-rounded product.

First time ever buying a new washer and already having problems. It is so loud and vibrates my whole three level house. Now my clothes sit stating five minutes left without the spin cycle running, I open door to see it didn't even spin. Having to do this each time. I've owned it for only 5 months. I'm worried now because I saved for this and can't afford any repairs. Regret buying this.

Works better than my old front loading LG. The capacity is perfect for my 7.5 ft.³ dryer. Blankets go through the cycle without it going off balance. The self balancing feature is also fantastic. The steam cycle takes stains out but it will also fades colors. Overall I love it. I hope it last 15 years like my LG did.

This washer has been performing very well at the ten-month point. I have used all of the modes, and have found normal with steam to work very well for all but the toughest stains. It is rather large so make sure you have ample clearance for the door to open. The plastic separator for the detergent is also rather flimsy. I just took it out, and let the detergent distribute itself.

I love everything about this washer except one thing! When I used regular Chlorine Bleach in the dispenser it caused bleach splotches on items I would normally bleach in my old washer! It didn’t dilute the bleach before it added it to the load! Now, I’ll only use Color Safe Bleach even in my white loads! Other than that it’s perfect!
