Just finished my kitchen renovation and opened my new freezer. I originally ordered it in November and it took alimony 1.5 months to arrive. Currently seething on hold with customer service. My freezer is smashed! The front left edge is completely crushed, both sides are dented... this is NOT acceptable! The box didn’t have a single dent... it is almost like it was dropped before it was boxed and they hoped I would do anything about it.

Luckily didn't damage the seal on the freezer, but beware.

I compared this model to the Insignia brand - no GE model in store, but the switch on the Insignia brand seemed cheap - and no power light. So based only on reviews, I bought the GE 1st online, then through the store - requiring a transfer of an in stock item from pasedena to el Segundo. had to get a friend with a Durango to pick up item (not interested in $80 delivery charge) - wouldn't fit in either a Volvo or a saab now for the review: freezer is cold, it is quiet, barely discernable hum, it is spacious for my needs, it looks good - the green power light is kind of cool at night - people have complained about only one rack - but if there were more, they would block what's underneath - one rack is sufficient. very satisfied with purchase - solid thunk when lid is dropped

This is an excellent freezer. It holds a lot of items, but yet small enough to have in my kitchen without taking up much space. I hide it on the other side of my table, and it often goes unnoticed by visitors. It is quite and doesn't make any humming noises. I always trust the GE brand. I haven't had any problems. It hasn't needed to be defrosted, and very little ice build up has occurred since I purchased it. I have no regrets about this purchase.

Mine was delivered missing the panel that covers where the electrical cord comes off. Other than that, works well and has some good space.

This freezer is the perfect size for my family of 3 and just what we needed. However I wish it came with an extra basket and maybe other accessory options to organize food for easier access. Beyond that it has been working great so far and I would definitely recommend for anyone who just needs a bit more freezer storage.

Nice and quiet freezer, good size for our household as the extra freezer. It have been working quite well for 1.5 year. Would give it 5 stars but had couple encounters recently where it does not freeze. We see the frost went away and we had to power cycle it to recover.

Excellent freezer. Is much bigger on the inside than it appears. Does not take up a lot of space. We are currently using it to store any extra food that doesn't fit in our regular fridge/freezer. Not noisy and does not create frost. Great investment and the price point was reasonable.

The seal has two small holes for some reason and ice would build up around that area. I put tape over the holes and it's been fine. Unfortunately it's not a frost free freezer, not for this price, so you have to scrape the ice away often if you open it frequently. So I just use it for items I don't use often.

Bought this deep freezer to put in the garage. It’s plenty of room for a 2 person household. Easy set up, I like the green light on the outside so you can easily tell that the freezer is on. I’ve had the freezer for over a month now with no issues. I did purchase a temperature alarm off of Amazon to put inside just in case something happens to try to prevent any food loss if the freezer ever goes out.

Great size for two people. I have noticed that the top two or three inches don't completely freeze the food. Condensation/freezer burn started building up within the first two months. It serves its purpose well and for its price, I am happy with the purchase. But it's not perfect for the reasons mentioned above. Light enough to move up the stairs by one person using straps.

Keeps food frozen as expected. This freezer is the perfect size for two people. We placed it close to the kitchen in our breakfast room for convenience and hardly notice any noise when it is running. To make it easier to find items quickly, our next shopping trip will be to the Container Store for freezer baskets.

The item arrived on the expected delivery date in perfect condition. It has been running smoothly ever since. The freezer is a decent size with one basket to the right, and has plenty of room for meats and frozen foods to be stored.

I had been looking for a garage ready chest freezer that endures the bitter winter where I live. Got this GE chest freezer that can be placed where the temperature goes as low as 0 degree F or as high as 110 degree F. Great size for a small family of 3. It functioned well throughout the winter.

I bought this to keep in the garage, as the fridge/freezer we already had stops running when the ambient temperature is too cold. It's just the right size for what we wanted: extra space to stock up on meat and store leftovers. It got to zero in just a couple of hours, so we could load it up right away. It has a basket and a shelf for smaller items. It has a drain hole in front for defrosting, but we haven't had to do that yet, so I don't know yet how hard that is. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

It took several weeks for the store to order it and receive it which I thought was rather long. It is rated to be used in a hot garage in Florida which is where we keep it. So far no problems. Adequate size for our needs.

Holds large boxes and bulky frozen items well. Small basket at the top keeps small items together and moves back and forth to let medium sized items on the half depth shelf can be reached. Freezes well on low power. Lid opens to a 90 degree angle so you can reach all the way down to the bottom but doesn't close on you. It's making my life a lot easier since I don't have to go to the store nearly as often. It's kept things frozen for at least 24 hours (in a house at about 65 degrees or so.) Well worth the money. And it was delivered on time, and they took the box and styro that wrapped it. Quick, professional, great service, competitive price. Yeah. Good stuff~!

three relatively minor issues with freezer which I knew about before I bought it. No screen over cut out where power cord is located, only one basket, no inside light.
