Store more frozen goods than ever before in this GE 5-cubic-foot chest freezer. A simple dial lets you set the temperature, while the power on light lets you know that is working - even if it's outside in a shed. Lift-out sliding baskets let you separate out smaller items in this GE 5-cubic-foot chest freezer.

A: Hello JSJSJS331, Thank you for reaching out. We're happy to answer your question. These holes are for vacuum release. The lid of the unit would be very difficult to open without these holes. Frost in this area is normal. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us via social media or through our Contact Us page. We hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
Q: How much amperage does this freezer draw? Does it require GF circuit?
A: Hi Jjm1274, thanks for reaching out to us and for your patience. We truly appreciate you considering this amazing garage ready chest freezer for your home and are happy to answer this for you! The running amps for this freezer is 1.2. We would recommend multiplying that by 2 to account for the surge or start-up amps that the freezer will draw when the compressor cycles on. It requires a 120-volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse on a dedicated circuit. Please feel free to reach back out to us if you have any additional questions about the necessary electrical connections or installing it in the future. We are always happy to help! -Eliza@GEA
