Now that I have tried this at home, I find it does not have consistent cooking temps. The burners have a special elements called "sensi-temp technology." Because of this tech device, it shuts off the power to the element while you are cooking. For instance, I was trying to stir fry and selected "HI" temp to get the oil hot so that I could get the sear going on the meats. Then the element shut off because of the sensi tech and rapidly cools so that the "HI" is now simmer "LO" this keeps toggling so that you never get the food seared or cooked properly from the temp fluctuations. Not only frustrating but ruins the dish, This is terrible tech idea. I don't know if there is an exchange for the elements policy but they should at least offer it.

A really nice range. It’s been awhile since prior purchase so new features are great. The guys that delivered it were polite courteous and friendly. They started explaining some features but I cut them short with “ it’s a oven”. Had to look up manual on line , I should have let them do their routine.

This stove works quite nicely. It pre-heats quickly, usually only a few minutes. My old stove took forever, even when it was working correctly. Burner settings take some getting used to so as not to burn things. Overall, very happy with this new stove.

Loved the range! The drawer under the oven is a little on the flimsy side. Not as solid as I would have preferred it to be. The instructional booklet that came with it did not have directions on how to operate the operation's panel on the stove as clearly as I would have preferred.

Our previous range only had 1 big burner and no light in the oven. I love having 2 big burners. Still getting used to all the settings. If I had any complaint it would be the drawer under the oven is much smaller than I had before and seems a little flimsy.

This "old school" stove replaced our glass top stove when the digital controls malfunctioned. This one also has digital controls but the cooking surface should stay much cleaner than the glass top. The techs who delivered and installed it said this is becoming popular again.

Good for the price. The metal dishes on top are not the best quality wished they where better like SS so it could be easier to clean and them not getting stained,

This is a great range. It's a big upgrade for us having a timer, selfcleaning and digital display. The oven works great and I would recommend it to everyone that I know.

If you're a basic cook on a budget and need an electric range, this is the one. Larger oven capacity than most low end ranges with all the basic convenience features you really need, plus a couple you might not expect. Top burners heat quickly and evenly as does the oven. This range does everything you need it to do for basic home cooking and baking.
Spilled some turkey drippings on Thanksgiving, nothing too serious. Self-cleaning did not do the job, unlike other ovens that I have owned. The area near the door and the front left corner ended up with baked-on residue that looks like black glass. Initially, I did a 3 hr cycle, and then tried 5-hour cycle with no improvement. These areas are within the gasket, so they should be clean. So the picture is after 8 hours of cleaning.

Hi there,
Oh no! We certainly understand how aggravating it is to have a stain that is hard to clean off. Use the following tips to manually clean a self cleaning oven. Wipe out minimal amounts of soil using a dishwashing liquid soap and water solution. Use a cloth, sponge or plastic pad to clean away soils inside the oven. If heavy soil exists, we recommend the use of the Self-Clean cycle to thoroughly clean the oven.
If you prefer to only hand clean the oven, a scouring pad (steel wool or plastic) may be used. Rub soiled areas lightly to prevent scratching into the oven liner surface. Do not use scouring powders.
Household ammonia can also be used when manually cleaning a Self-Clean oven. Put a 1/2 cup of ammonia in a shallow glass or pottery container. Place the container of ammonia in a cold oven and leave it overnight. The ammonia fumes will help loosen burned-on grease and food. Do not turn the oven on while ammonia is inside.
To remove any remaining stubborn baked-on stains, apply a non-abrasive cleaner such as Bar Keepers Friend Liquid Soft Cleanser using a sponge or cloth.
Rinse the oven liner well after hand cleaning. Soap residue left on the oven liner can cause staining or discoloration when a Self-Clean cycle is used.
The above procedure may also be used for the inside of the oven door; however, be sure to avoid rubbing or cleaning the door gasket. We hope this information helps. Mike@GEA

This range is great. The oven heats up quickly and the rest works perfectly. The only thing that was surprising is the oven light must be turned on manually. It does not come on automatically when the oven door is opened.

I needed to replace a stove and was pleased to be able to get one that fit in perfectly. Have not had it long enough to use the self cleaning function but GE perfected that long ago.
