This unit is light in weight compared to similar size units I have had in the past. Installation was easy with my wife's assistance. The WiFi function works well with our Alexa Show 8, but I don't find I use it that much. I will use the remote or just physically go to the unit. This unit BLOWS COLD! It does a great job of maintaining the correct temperature as well. I find it doesn't run unless it has to maintain the temp I set it too. My ONLY complaint (as well as my wife), is that this unit is LOUD. I know it's a window rattler, but it's one of the loudest units we have owned in recent years. When it's running there is a HUMMING noise that resonates through the room. It wasn't enough of an issue to return, but be aware. So we can recommend this unit if you can get past the amount of noise it creates.

I live in an apartment, two bedrooms roughly 900 square feet on the second floor with direct sunlight. During the summer our apartment gets HOT even on cooler days. This air conditioner pumps cold air and keeps the place cool. Eco mode is amazing and keeps the whole apartment at a steady temperature. The mobile GE app allowed me to remotely turn on my air conditioner even while I was at work as the AC connects to Wi-Fi. On the app you can set routines and schedules which is super helpful. Example being, I can have it set to turn on every day at 4pm Monday-Friday only so I get home from work to a cool home. As far as electric bills. This thing is on all the time and it’s very energy efficient. Overall this thing is a great buy. It’s heavy but it’s worth it.

I first purchased the 14,000 BTU unit, then later in the summer, only the smaller capacity unit was available. I would definitely recommend going bigger, esp with all the energy saving an monitoring features, and the dimensions were the same. The app is ok, but when you have multiple units, and re-open the app, the headline just reads Control and not which AC unit this is, so you have to go back to figure that out. Same with the remote and front controls. Someone thought the first button push should just beep and turn on the front panel lights, not actually do anything. And that's another annoyance - not having the controls lit up, you never know what state it's in until your second button push. But the surprisingly good things are, I can set up my units at two houses, and use the app to turn on an AC that's miles away, so the second location is cool when I arrive. This is making me want to ditch my last non-remote control AC. Finally, take a look at the remote - it's rather simple, and not like a high-tech remote with a light up screen or any notion of status. All that said, I'm giving these a good grade after a number of months of usage.

Works great and cools my upper duplex perfectly. Every once in a while it’s a little louder than normal with a grinding noise but it is a large AC so That’s to be expected. Was tougher to install into my older houses windows that have storm windows on them but not fully the AC’s fault. My only issue is the directional sliders to move the air in a certain direction are worthless. Not normally a GE person but it works great otherwise and the smart app is super nice! Would buy another GE AC.

Cools nicely but I needed to get a dehumidifier to remove moisture to be comfortable. I thought the ac would do that, but apparently not. I must say, friends installed it and it appears to be level, which it shouldn’t be. The instructions said 5% tilt. I am not seeing any moisture dripping anywhere, so am puzzled. It looks good, love the remote. Filter is easy to clean.

It definitely gets cold. I live in a bungalow house and our room is upstairs so the roof makes the room very hot and the portable air conditioner just wasn't doing it. I had to constantly dump water out the window. It was 10,000 BTUs. But when I got this it instantly made a difference. Yes it isn't that quiet and the styrofoam rattles but it is definitely an upgrade to the portable air conditioner. I think I should have went with 10,000 BTUs with this air conditioner but I wanted to make sure lol.

We bought an old house with no central air and this air conditioner is a life saver! Works great, was easy to install and is easy to use! I love that is has a magnetic remote so you can stick it to the side of the unit and not lose it!

This air conditioner is perfect for our small home. We were without AC for 2 weeks during a heat wave. This unit cooled off our 2 bedroom, 1 bath home in about 2 hours. I thought we would need a larger unit, but this is perfect! We are totally satisfied!! It was easy to install too!

Works great keeps my ranch style house cooler from my living room. A little heavy for a window alone, I made a quick frame for support.

So far so good. This unit is keeping my 300 SQ foot apt nice and cool. I live in New Orleans and my last air conditioner could not keep up from July to October. I set this on 73 and Eco and it has no problem at all keeping the place cool. I was upset that it cost 550.00 and arrived damaged. Unfortunately I needed it now and chose to have my landlord install it. I would recommend at this price you pick it up yourself. The outside box showed no damage. It was not until I had the box ripped apart to get the air con out that the damage could be seen. So far it appears that the damage has not effected the job of the air conditioner

Very powerful unit. Easy to install and it cools off the entire apartment.

Very adequately keeps the first floor at a comfortable temperature. It is mostly open except for the kitchen where there is a ceiling fan running on low all of the time. After experimenting I set it at 70, Eco, Auto. It turns off when the rooms are at that temperature. I really like the choice of settings!

Honestly this AC has helped cool my bedroom by a lot. The wifi feature is pretty cool and I like how you can control it from far distance with the app.
