Installation is uncomplicated. This unit replaced a 12-year-old GE Profile Cooktop. It dropped into the same space without modification and required no additional plumbing. Performance is much improved, with two high-powered burners. I would have awarded a fifth star, but the grates are cumbersome and prone to scratch the surface if not removed and replaced with the utmost care.

We recently purchased this cooked up, We are very happy, installation was very easy, we like that the burners switches headlights and you can see which one is operated. We ordered the cooktop and we received it within less than a week.

I upgraded to the 36" wide cooktop from the 30" and love it. Its amazing what 6" does for accomodating cookware. Great Value.

THIS IS NOT BLACK STAINLESS! We ordered this to go with all of our other black stainless appliances and waited for it because it was on back order. It came today and was installed but the entire cooktop is a shiny/glossy black. The only thing on it that is Black Stainless are the knobs. Very dissatisfied in the color and spent an hour and a half talking with customer service and the only option was to pay another $800 for a totally different one. They tried hard but no luck.

Great size and ease of use. I like where thr placement of the knobs are, sometimes other brands placement get in the way.

This is excellent replacement for our older GE Profile cooktop. It fits perfectly into old cutout. It functions much better than old ones. It has precise control of gas etc. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

I love the lite knobs that indicate burner is on. Easy install, bought the griddle option works very well.

Easy to use. Pots fit in the cook top better than on the previous model.

Chose to install myself and it was pretty easy. We have a granite countertop and the opening from the old unit was not wide enough. Had to get a granite guy to cut the opening wider to accommodate the new unit. Getting GE to help defray the cost was a bit of a challenge. I was not aware that I would need the serial number of the old unit as well as pictures to get up too $100 credit from GE. The cooktop works well and looks really good. We will see about getting the credit from GE.

Beautiful steel dark gray one, but just be careful of oil marks very difficult to get rid off. Otherwise I was replacing my 20 year old GE profile was still functional with plastic buttons old.

Good overall unit. The grate does sit a little high from the flame. So, if you use a larger eye with a smaller pot, the heat around the eye can be intense on your hands.

Great cooktop except for one part, there is a vent in the front under the grates and burners. It’s not a big deal but occasionally water boil over can splash into it. Otherwise it’s a great cooktop. Cleans easy, grates can go in dishwasher, and the super burner can get a huge pot of water boiling in less than 10 minutes.

Have had this cooktop almost a month now and so far really love it. Knobs that light up when the flame is on is a great feature but be careful of the knobs as they will scratch easily (mine are fine so far). The BTU's are great; water boils much quicker than my last cooktop which was a GE Profile almost fifteen years old. I purchased the optional griddle, which I really wanted but am not as impressed with that (don't hate it but so far don't really love it - still trying to get a good seasoning on it) - I'll review separately. I have the 7036 stainless but wanted to mention that the 9036 stainless has a cutout in cooktop in drip pan area around the knobs that I really dislike; the 7036 is totally enclosed in drip pan.

Love the cooktop stove. Works great. Heat and smimmers great. Easy to clean.

So far had it for a month. Great stove. Easy to keep clean. Don’t really have anything to complain about. Needed a stove asap and this stove was in stock, so got t the same day.

Previously had a GE Profile Gas Cooktop that worked so well for over 18 years. Loved the features of this new GE Profile 36-inch Gas Cooktop: appearance and layout of the burners and control knobs. BTUs match or exceed so many other brands. Knobs have a backlight which is great to have. An added bonus is that it fit PERFECT into the existing space and even went matched with the existing hood!
