Q: What is the difference between true convection and a convection oven?
A: Hi there - thank you for taking the time to reach out to us. We can confirm that the difference between a true convection and standard convection oven is a third heating element found within the fan assembly in the back of the oven. This third element is a 2500-watt, double-loop element located in the back wall of the oven, and it surrounds the convection fan. The convection fan with this heating element is able reverse direction to allow air to better circulate around the food. -- We hope this response was helpful, and please let us know if we can help with anything else. Have a great one. - Pablo@GEA
Q: can you use the top oven for air fry
A: No, just the bottom oven.
A: The top oven is a regular oven. Important NOTE--------------------- THE TOP OVEN IS THE ONLY ONE WITH A DELAY START OPTION. The Lower Oven has NO delay start option which is a HUGE FAILURE BY GE ENGINEERS.....
A: Hi there, thanks for taking the time to reach out, we can understand wanting to check. Yes, this mode has hidden bake elements in both the upper and lower ovens. This design places the bake element under the floor of the oven were it is concealed under a non-removable porcelain enameled oven floor. This eliminates hard-to-reach areas that collect food and spills and makes the oven easier to clean. Hope this is helpful! Happy cooking. -Michael@GEA
A: This lovely range does offer a radiant glass cooktop. Our concerns with using cast iron is two fold. An imperfection, burr, or rough patch may scratch the glass surface. Scratches on glass can't be repaired. The other concerns pertains to how slow cast iron can be to absorb the heat from the burners. Once it does heat up, it's very slow to cool down which makes it more difficult to regulate the temperature. Porcelain enamel coated cast iron will work well.
A: Hi there - thank you for reaching out. The depth without the handle is 25-3/4", and the overall depth, including the handle, is 28-1/4". The lower oven is suitable for a turkey up to approximately 20 pounds. We don't have specific information on turkey sizes for the upper oven, and we do not recommend cooking whole turkeys, chickens, or hams in the upper oven. If you have further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to ask as we’re happy to help. Best wishes. Lauren@GEAppliances
Q: How do you clean . It says steam clean
A: It's a self clean oven with both steam clean for quick light cleaning as well as conventional heavy duty high temperature cleaning
Q: Does this oven come with a griddle for the top?
A: This model does not come with a griddle.

This stove was delivered to me on a Saturday. The following Monday I had to call repair. The stove was delivered with a non-functioning back burner. I'm very dissatisfied with this stove for many reasons. At the top of the list is the fact that it seems to be almost impossible to slowly simmer a pot of anything. If you have a recipe which requires you to bring something to a boil, then cover it , lower the heat and let it cook slowly, you will end up with an overcooked mess. Forget about making a pot of rice. It will cook unevenly and end up sticking to the bottom of the pot. Never having this happen with any stove I've ever cooked on, I figured it had to be malfunctioning. I had a repair man check my burners and was told they were within spec. His advice was to "take the pot of the burner for a few minutes". Another issue is the "hot stovetop" light which is supposed to remain lit if the stovetop is hot to the touch. The one on this stove goes off while the stovetop is still hot enough to burn your skin. Once again I thought this HAD to be a malfunction, had it checked, and once again, was told it was within specifications. GE no longer includes a sliding bottom rack but I was told I could buy one after delivery. Unfortunately not true. I was mailed 4 different units from GE, all incorrect. It apparently was never even offered, or has been discontinued. This will be quite unfortunate when trying to roast a turkey or anything of that nature. To add to my list of disappointments, there is a poor design issue and also a safety issue when the oven doors. When they are fully opened (to put something in or take something out), the doors themselves lay at an angle that unfortunately make it very easy for you to brush them with you arm or hand when taking items in and out of the stove (which has happened more than once). I have owned several stoves in my lifetime and this is by far the biggest disappointment ever. Whoever designed this stove, was clearly not a cook. I rarely write reviews, but for this I needed to make an exception.

Really nice looking oven. Cooks very efficiently doesn’t give off a ton of heat and warm the kitchen up. I love the option of cooking two different things at two different temperatures.

The dual oven with convection in the bottom is an excellent feature. Allows 2 simultaneous use when baking. The added wifi feature allows remote function for the oven. So you can for example pre heat an oven using your phone while away. It sends alerts to your phone so uou know the statua of your range. Standard size that fita well in the kitchen with over range microwave.
