The controls are easy to use. It has speed cook which will cook your dish, meat, roast in a fraction of the time it takes for a conventional oven and it comes out perfect. It has a conventional oven setting that also cooks your dish as well as any other conventional oven. And of course the microwave feature will cook anything with the perfect finish. The temperature sensors work so well. An added bonus is that it comes with a recipe book that will use all of the features of the oven and has so many good recipes. Be sure to check that your cabinets are well attached because this oven is heavier than your typical microwave.

Let's be clear. This is not just a microwave and it's way more than a convection oven! The Speedcook feature is what sets this appliance part from the rest. I've had my Advantium for 2 months now and have used Speedcook extensively to reheat plates of food, cook steaks,, bacon, and burgers and roast vegetables. My most favorite thing so far is roasting a whole chicken in about a half hour and without heating my kitchen up in the hot desert summer. Cooking using all 3 methods, radiant, convection and microwave and all at the same time is what makes this happen. btw- The chicken is perfectly cooked and juicy as can be. I also love the broil function for melting cheese and the ability to create and save my own Speedcook recipes. Only things to note are be sure to buy the Advantium 240 if you want the Speedcook option to work as fast as I describe. Also know that the microwave has about 10% less power than some out there on the market which is an OK trade-off for me. Finally, I had wondered how it would be to clean this oven knowing that meats spatter. Well, they do spatter so keeping up on that is key. What I do is as soon as the oven cools, I wipe the spatter with a damp sponge then use Weiman Range Cooktop cleaner which will also remove anything you missed the last time so my oven is always like new.

This is an absolutely exceptional microwave/convection oven when it works. The best part is that it crisps food quickly. However, Advantiums always break and waiting for the necessary parts to fix them takes at least six months and the repairs are crazy expensive. This is our third Advantium over the course of 20 years. The last time, it took over two years waiting for one part. Since we got the extended warranty, we were finally given a replacement unit after an unacceptable wait time. If purchasing this unit, be sure to get the extended warranty.

Great unit cooks very good. One thing to make sure you are aware that this is NOT 120V standard outlet. It is 220v 30 amps almost what our stove uses. so in 99% of the installs you will need to rewire were you are putting it.

This is my second Advantium ! Yes why would I not buy another after using the first one for twelve years without a single problem ? It is simply the best appliance in my entire kitchen. I am a man that loves to cook and the options that this oven offers are only available from GE. First off, I recommend if you are thinking of one get the 220 volt version and vent it to the outside of the home. The speed cook feature cooks fish ,chicken and even fresh and frozen items that you would never think of cooking in a micro . That’s because it’s not just a micro, or even a convection oven . After a lengthy and expensive kitchen remodel 12 years ago which included many very high end appliances , my wife and I both agreed the Advantium was the best part of the kitchen remodel. Now 12 years later we could not live without another one. It is well worth the extra cost, not only does it cook faster it cooks totally different and better than any microwave out their including GE.

I've had my first one of these for a few years now. I had no idea I needed this nice of a microwave when I went to replace my old one that died, but now that I've experienced just how handy its fast cooking programs are I'm now buying another one for my new house. The regular microwave functions work normally, but I'm so spoiled at how easy it is to cook ears of corn, chicken breasts, burgers, etc that I couldn't imagine just going to back to a regular microwave. The only downside is that grease or sauce from things you cook splatter up on to the sides and are darn near impossible to get off. I did manage to get it clean with some brillo, which thankfully and surprisingly didn't scratch it.

These ovens are excellent and can replace a standard stove/oven. In our kitchen remodel we installed one of these and removed the microwave and standard oven. We switched to a countertop stove and build cabinets below where the old oven was. I have never regretted that. This product does it all. Tiny House? This is the one you need. The 120 is under powered. This is the one you want, 240

This is the second one I've bought. The first one was still working fine but was 20 years old. I bought this one because now it also has convection bake and it has some more updated features I like. Seems to cook a bit faster than the old one. I do almost all of my cooking in the Advantium oven . Most people don't realize these are more than just a microwave.

This is my favorite unit in my newly remodeled kitchen. This speedcook microwave half's your cooking time. Making dinner is no longer a chore or a bore! It's a pricey unit but I wouldn't have anything else above my range! Highly recommend the 240V (this is difference between fast cooking and just cooking)

This is a fantastic unit. When we remodeled the kitchen we replaced the old original Advantium with this new version. What we like is the speed cook option. Recommend you go with the 30 amp version ilo the 15 amp, cost a little more, but well worth it.

After getting 15 years from my 1st 240v Advantium I elected to get another one, very pleased with this product!

Can’t wait to get it... I kept getting bumped bc of no stock. I am replacing one exactly that lasted me 14 good years. Great price at best buy

I love the cooktop of our range; however, I am a bit disappointed in the ovens. They seem to take an unusually long time to preheat.

I am happy with how the oven cooks. However, the manufacturing/design needs improvement. Two times since purchasing in 12/14, crumbs, or liquid have fallen down into the lower lamp. There is no way you can get to the spill without taking the bottom of the oven apart in order to get to the lamp department where the food has fallen down. Keeping the metal tray in place helps, but not if liquid spills. A redesign to this model would be necessary.

I got my GE Profile oven two year ago, it stopped working for no reason , when you invest in a top of line product you expect it be reliable, my choices are buy a new one or pay high cost to fix it. Please stay away from GE, unless you want a expensive disposable oven!
