Makes great ice, but pretty noisy

Unit makes ice quickly; however it is not quiet at all. You can hear the fan going and the as it makes ice it loads it into the tray. Kids love it however as they like the chewy ice. Giving it 3 stars as it has a spot for a filter but no filter is included initially.

There will be some noise associated with the operation of mechanical components, such as the compressor, pump, motors, and fans. These normal noises typically cease after 10 to 45 minutes during the ice-making cycle. Hard surfaces, such as floors, walls, and countertops, can amplify these sounds.
