Don't Waste Your Time
I did read the reviews before ordering but I thought since there were only a couple, maybe it was just coincidence that they were bad. I am not sure who is doing the refurbishing for Bestbuy but they should be ashamed of what they are selling. If this is in house, they should fire them all and completely revamp that department. First the packaging was as bad as others have pointed out. Completely unacceptable for a big company. Second, the system was filthy, as someone else had pointed out in another review. I have ordered tons of refurbished or renewed products. Never once have I received someone that looked as bad as this. Especially since a lot of this could have been cleaned up and is what I would expect apart of the standard refurbishing process to be. Lastly, the unit didn't even work. The system would come and try to start loading and then restart. Occasionally it would make it to the language screen, and then restart. This tells me that the unit wasn't even tested, because you would obviously see that it was not working if it was. Bestbuy should be embarrassed by what they are sending customers. This is unacceptable by any standards. Sadly as a member and cardholder, after this experience, I will not buy another refurbished or renewed item from them.

Are you feeling lucky?
So my feelings are very mixed on this purchase, or purchases. It took ordering 2 consoles to get the correct item. The 1st console that arrived was a standard Ps5 without a stand. It was packed horribly and was extremely dirty and scratched up. It did work though, so I used it until I could order a replacement. Which was currently out of stock at the time. Fast forward a week and a half later, I was able to order another refurbed console. Luckily this time a Ps5 slim showed up, a bit better packed but with a pretty big hole on the side of the box. Fortunately, the console was fine and was also surprisingly clean. There is a pretty nice sized mark on one of the top plates, but its no big deal. The only real downside on the second order is the stand. I was sent the original Ps5 base, not the little plastic feet that go to the slim model. I've made it work and I'm happy with the purchase. I just wish Bestbuy did a better job of quality control on their refurbished products.

Completely Wrong Item Also Looks Unclean & Old.
I am so frustrated. I ordered the Playstation disc version and received a shabby looking dirty Playstation digital version that isn't even the same color as the one pictured. How can a professional business mess up an order this badly? I had to explain to my son on Christmas morning when he opened the massive box that the game system was moving around in, that we have to return the system in exchange for another one that is what I actually ordered. I only hope they don't give me any problems when we go to return this old and abused looking thing. It was all Best Buy's fault. Even the image in the order clearly shows a disc console as opposed to what I actually received. Por transaction all around. Extremely disappointed, especially on Christmas day.
