Brand new 1/200 scale diecast airplane model of the Boeing 727-200 Commercial Aircraft "Trump Shuttle," featuring a white fuselage with red stripes, part of the "Gemini 200" Series by GeminiJets. The Boeing 727 is an American narrow-body airliner developed and produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes to meet the demand for shorter flight lengths from smaller airports following the introduction of the 707 in 1958. Launched on December 5, 1960, with 40 orders each from United Airlines and Eastern Air Lines, the first 727-100 rolled out on November 27, 1962, first flew on February 9, 1963, and entered service with Eastern on February 1, 1964. Trump Shuttle, Inc., owned by businessman Donald Trump from 1989 to 1992, operated hourly shuttle flights using Boeing 727 aircraft from LaGuardia Airport in New York City to Logan International Airport in Boston and Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., as well as charter services to other destinations. Its operations were based on landing rights and assets originally part of Eastern Air Lines, known as the Eastern Air Lines Shuttle, and it carried the IATA designator code TB, later reassigned to Jetairfly.
