Gene Vincent - Blue Jean Bop - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Extricate was originally released in 1990. It was recorded after some serious personnel changes, as MARK E. SMITH's partner, guitarist and vocalist BRIX left him for NIGEL KENNEDY! Needless to say, Mark's lyrics acquired a new level of cynicism. Mark's sleeve notes say; InchIt is the culmination of stuff I've / we've held back or just wrote over and through the tendril wires and chaos of the last 14 months. The first half reflects on things witnessed and / or sensed, while the second half is NOW. The simplicity will confound all bores, imitators and anxiety mongers.Inch

A pioneer of early rock n' roll and rockabilly, Gene Vincent wrote the rockabilly anthem InchBe-Bop-A-LulaInch in 1956 which secured him a deal with Capitol Records and introduced the world to one of the greatest rock n' rollers of all time. Presented here are some of his best classic early recordings including InchBe-Bop-A-Lula,Inch InchWhole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On,Inch InchThe Day the World Turned BlueInch and InchPistol Packin' Mama.Inch All selections newly remastered.
