On Oceanator's third full-length album, Everything is Love and Death, songwriter Elise Okusami showcases her exceptional pop sensibilities, delivering 11 tracks full of melodic depth and lively energy. Produced by Grammy nominated engineer/producer Will Yip (Title Fight, Turnstile, Bartees Strange), the new album features some of the biggest and boldest songs Okusami has ever written, such as the anthemic and sludgy InchDrift Away,Inch featuring backing vocals from NNAMDÏ. Oceanator's music has been praised in outlets such as Stereogum, Pitchfork, NPR and SPIN, who described Okusami as having Inchthe kind of voice that can silence a room.Inch The band has shared the stage with the likes of Jeff Rosenstock, Laura Jane Grace, PUP, and others with a notable touring history across North America and Europe.

Built up with layer upon layer of rhythmic lines, computer noises, RZA beats, and poppy vocals that sometimes sound like a Janet Jackson/Prince face-off, Alix is old and new, vinyl and YouTube, vocal chord and micro-korg, gathered up and arranged with great care into a good-smelling, subtly sexy, catchy-or-die mish-mosh of sensibilities and time-warp senselessness, lightly peppered with that signature Swift element, but undeniably Generationals in taste. As Swift had decreed 'tis a good idea to tear down and rebuild, but it's not always necessary to start from scratch.
