Oehms Classics presents a rarely performed work by the Brazilian composer Antonio Carlos Gomes in co-production with NDR Kultur and the Braunschweig State Theatre. Gomes' music is influenced by Brazil, but it's atmosphere is reminiscent of Verdi's InchSimon BoccanegraInch in many respects, captivating listeners at the start with extraordinarily effective pieces. This production is the recording of the German premiere at the Braunschweig State Theatre in January 2010.
